A few weeks before his highly anticipated 14th studio album drops, Lil Wayne shared the star-studded features to expect on the upcoming Tha Carter VI. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper said collaborators include Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, U2 lead Bono, opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Wyclef Jean, Machine Gun Kelly, and his teenage son, Kameron Carter. “If there’s one thing about this album that’s different, it’s me approaching it like, ‘Man, what would I sound like on something with such and such?”’ Wayne explained to Andre Gee about the diverse group.

Jonathan Anderson is officially the new creative director of Dior Men. Following his departure from Loewe last month, WWD reports that Anderson will show his inaugural collection on June 27 during Paris Fashion Week. LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault confirmed the news in a meeting with shareholders Thursday; however, he did not include any other details on Anderson’s new role.
Netflix Beats Wall Street Expectations with Strong Q1
Netflix’s earnings dropped Thursday, and total revenue increased nearly 13% in Q1 to $10.54 billion. Its earnings per share clocked in at $6.61, beating Wall Street estimates. The streaming giant credits an uptick in profit to membership growth and an increase in subscription pricing. Netflix also added that it used proceeds from its 2024 refinancing to pay down $800 million in debt. In the quarterly letter to shareholders, the company announced its co-founder, Reed Hastings, will make the move from Executive Chair to Chairman of the Board.
Lee Corso to Retire from ‘College Gameday’
After 38 years, Lee Corso is retiring from his role as analyst on ESPN College Gameday, a Thursday release from the network confirmed. A fixture on the program since its inception in 1987, Corso turns 90 in August and will make his final appearance on the show a few weeks later during the first week of the season. The question that remains is, what will his final headgear pick be?
Aflac & WNBPA Extend Partnership, Expand Prize Money for All-Star Competitions
Aflac and the WNBPA announced the extension of their ongoing partnership on Thursday. In addition to continuing to serve as the Official Supplemental Partner of the WNBPA. Aflac will increase the prize pool for this year’s WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge, bringing the total money on the line to $115,000. Per the league’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, the 3-point shootout champion will pocket $60,000, and the skills challenge victor will win $55,000.
Michael Vick Docuseries Coming to BET
BET has ordered a new docuseries chronicling Michael Vick’s first season as head coach of the Norfolk State University football team. According to a release, the series will highlight Vick’s journey from his career and its controversial end to his current role as a leader of the HBCU’s up-and-coming football program. The series will be produced by SMAC Entertainment in partnership with BET Media and Vick’s wife, Kijafa Vick.

Commanders, D.C. Government In Talks on a Stadium Deal
A new report from NBC4 Washington suggests that D.C. is nearing a deal worth more than $3 billion to bring the Washington Commanders back to the nation’s capital. The proposed stadium will replace RFK Stadium, which housed the franchise from 1961-1996 prior to the team’s move to Maryland. Per reports, the team would contribute $2.5 billion to the development, with the city putting down $850 million for the new project.
Rafael Nadal to be Honored at French Open
French Open director Amelie Mauresmo said Rafael Nadal will be honored by the French Tennis Federation (FFT) at this year’s tournament. The ceremony is scheduled for May 25 on Court Philippe Chatrier at the end of the day session. The undisputed King of Clay, Nadal has lifted the Coupe des Mousquetaires a record 14 times.

The Los Angeles Rams are making NFL history as the first team to hold draft operations out of a fire station when they select incoming rookies from Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Air Operations next week. In an effort to honor those who risked it all during the wildfires earlier this year, the LAFD Air Operations will be fully operational during the NFL Draft, and the Rams plan to recognize 150 first responders during Friday’s Chalk Talk with Coach Sean McVay.
