Washington Post Cuts 30% of Workforce in Major Layoffs
The Washington Post announced a sweeping round of layoffs Wednesday, eliminating about 30% of its workforce, including more than 300 journalists across the sports, local, and international divisions, though some of its sports reporters will shift to features coverage. Per NBC News, the daily podcast Post Reports will also be discontinued. The Washington Post Guild condemned the cuts, saying that more than 400 roles have already been eliminated over the last three years, undermining the outletโs credibility and future.

Megan Thee Stallion is adding to her acting rรฉsumรฉ with a guest-starring role on NBCโs The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. She plays Denise, a recently divorced mother who strikes up a flirtation with Daniel Radcliffeโs character, Arthur Tobin, in an episode titled โYou May Hug Your Hero.โ The comedy stars Tracy Morgan as a disgraced former football player trying to rehab his image, reuniting him with 30 Rock collaborators Robert Carlock and Tina Fey. After drawing 6.1 million viewers across NBC and Peacock for its January premiere, the series returns Feb. 23, with new episodes airing weekly starting March 2.

Ulta Beauty has launched the Ulta Beauty Roster, a new collective of six women athletes across various sports, coinciding with National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The roster includes Anna Leigh Walters, Dearica Hamby, Emma Navarro, Madisen Skinner, Midge Purce, and Vanita Krouch, who will collaborate on social content and live activations. Former WNBA Star Angel McCoughtry Launches Animation Partnership

New ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Series in the Works
A24 is developing a new iteration of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, starting with a TV series from JT Mollner, following its September acquisition of the franchiseโs TV and film rights in an auction led by Verve. The new projectโs distribution is still unclear, and itโs not yet packaged as a movie, despite previous Netflix rumors. The original 1974 film, made for $140,000 and distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company, grossed $31 million, though the filmmakers saw little profit. New Line Cinema later acquired the franchise in 1983, producing nine films that earned over $252 million worldwide, alongside comics, novels, and video games.
Zayn Announces Fifth Album, ‘Konnakol’
Former One Direction member Zayn confirmed Wednesday his fifth studio album, Konnakol, arrives on April 17 via Mercury Records/Island Records U.K. The lead single, “Die for Me,” will be released on Friday. The album will be his first since 2024โs Room Under the Stairs, which charted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart.
