Alex Cooper is Getting Her Own Hulu Documentary
Hulu has ordered a documentary on Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper. Aptly titled Call Her Alex, the two-part program centers on Cooper’s life wins thus far in her successful career. This is the second project that Cooper’s Unwell Productions boasts with the Disney-owned streamer, joining the forthcoming dating show Overboard for Love, for which Cooper also serves as executive producer. Hulu will launch the doc on June 10, following its debut at the Tribeca Festival on June 8.
DJ Khaled’s Catalog Acquired by Influence Media Partners, Launch New Joint Ventures
Influence Media Partners has acquired DJ Khaled‘s expansive music catalog, as the two sides are teaming up on two new ventures. The first includes plans to develop and produce original content across film and television, while the second will see Influence expand name, image, and likeness commercial opportunities for Khaled. Financial terms were not disclosed; however, Variety reports that the deal is in the low nine-figure range.
Steve Nash Set to Join Dirk Nowitzki, Taylor Rooks on Prime Video’s NBA Team
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Steve Nash is set to join Prime Video‘s NBA studio and game coverage starting next season as part of Amazon‘s new 11-year, $20 billion media rights deal. The two-time MVP will join ex-Dallas Mavericks teammate Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Taylor Rooks. This is the latest media move by Nash, who also recently signed on to become the co-host of the Mind the Game podcast with LeBron James.
Bad Bunny 101: Yale to Offer Course on Global Superstar
Students at Yale University can enroll in a new course centered around global superstar Bad Bunny. Coming to the Ivy League institution this fall, it’s the creation of Associate Professor Albert Laguna and is called “Bad Bunny: Musical Aesthetics and Politics.” Per the Yale Daily News, the curriculum explores the musician’s cultural impact, as well as how his music serves as a lens for understanding the Puerto Rican diaspora.
Eli Manning Eyeing Minority Stake in New York Giants
New York Giants great Eli Manning is reportedly putting together an investment group to bid for a piece of the franchise. The four-time Super Bowl champions are currently co-owned by John Mara and Steve Tisch, with family members also owning smaller shares. Back in February, the Giants confirmed they had retained Moelis & Co. to explore the potential sale of a minority, non-controlling stake in the team. According to Bloomberg, as much as 10% is up for sale.
Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter Help Fuel Strong Quarter for UMG
It was a good first quarter for Universal Music Group (UMG), reporting 11.8% year-over-year profit growth to €2.9 billion ($3.3 billion). Fueled by top sellers like Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd, UMG’s overall recorded music revenue also experienced a 12.7% year-over-year jump to about €2.2 billion ($2.5 billion), with subscription and streaming income rising 9.5% to about €1.6 billion ($1.8 billion).
Shaquille O’Neal Named GM of Sacramento State Men’s Hoops
Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is adding the role of men’s basketball general manager at Sacramento State to his résumé. An unpaid and voluntary role, the news comes a few weeks following the Hornets’ announcement that Shaq’s son, Shaqir O’Neal, would be joining the team as a transfer from Florida A&M. With the hiring of former Kings coach Mike Bibby last month, this marks a new era for the program.
Spotify Hits 268M Premium Subscribers in Q1 Report
Spotify is celebrating a successful Q1, reporting a 10% increase in active users to 678 million, while premium subscribers jumped 12% to 268 million. Additionally, revenue for the first three months of 2025 shot up 15% to €4.2 billion ($5.6 billion) and operating income reached a record high of €509 million ($579 million). Spotify’s stock closed Tuesday trading down roughly 3.5%.

Charles Leclerc Follows Lewis Hamilton’s Footsteps into Fashion
Charles Leclerc is following in his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton’s footsteps with the launch of a fashion line. Collaborating with Ferrari Style’s creative director Rocco Iannone, the looks draw inspiration from Leclerc’s off-the-track style and are functional for both traveling and leisure. Specific products weren’t revealed, but the line will be unveiled and available for purchase at a special event in Leclerc’s hometown of Monte Carlo on May 21.
