Despite retiring from play in 2003, Michael Jordan is still untouchable when it comes to athlete earnings. A new list from Sportico places MJ at the top of the highest-earning athletes of all time, having brought in an inflation-adjusted return of $4.15 billion in his lifetime. Golf great Tiger Woods comes in second at $2.79 billion, with active athletes Cristiano Ronaldo ($2.23 billion), LeBron James ($1.88 billion), and Lionel Messi ($1.85 billion) rounding out the top five.

In accordance with the highly anticipated Tha Carter VI, Lil Wayne will headline Madison Square Garden for the first time ever on the album’s release date, June 6. The grand stage will play host to new tracks from the rapper’s 15th studio album and first solo project in five years. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Emmy-winning actor and comedian Kevin Hart will host the 2025 BET Awards set for June 9 at the Peacock Theater in L.A. It will be Hart’s second time hosting the show after first doing so in 2011. “For over a decade, Kevin Hart has been a beloved part of the BET family, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him return to host the 25th anniversary BET Awards,” BET President and CEO Scott Mills said.

Kid Cudi is headed to the Tribeca Film Festival to show his new short film “Neverland” in the music video category. Cudi collaborated with director Ti West and Jordan Peele‘s Monkeypaw Productions on the project. Additionally, the artist revealed that “Neverland” will also be the name of the first single on his upcoming album, which Cudi promises will be shared with the public “very very soon.”

Warner Bros. Discovery saw significant growth in Nielsen rankings in March thanks to scripted dramas and amateur hoops action. Climbing to 6.7% of American TV usage last month, WBD won in large part due to NCAA Tournament coverage on Turner networks, HBO’s The White Lotus, and Max’s The Pitt. YouTube took the top spot last month, claiming a whopping 12% US audience share.

In the middle of directing a new movie and an accompanying press tour, Spike Lee is also remaining present in the fashion space. The legendary filmmaker teamed up with Supreme on a new 40 Acres collection, a nod to Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks company. Dropping April 24, it will include a varsity jacket, a baseball jersey, two t-shirts, and a hat, and will feature two of Lee’s most iconic works: Malcolm X and Clockers.

Hollywood’s video game boom is in full swing. Universal has tapped Sydney Sweeney to produce in an adaptation of SEGA’s 1980s arcade favorite OutRun. Michael Bay is slated to direct the upcoming project with Jayson Rothwell on board to write the script. Universal has previously seen success in producing gaming adaptations, with The Super Mario Bros. Movie being the highest-grossing video game movie of all time.

Sweeping changes are coming to the world of college sports. On Monday, NCAA board members met for four hours to discuss deleting 153 longstanding rules from its handbook, according to ESPN. The sum of such changes is the ability for schools to pay athletes directly, with Power 4 institutions allowed to provide up to $20.5 million to student-athletes. Changes, which could take place as soon as July 1, remain contingent on the House’s approval.

Kendrick Lamar’s announcement as a Chanel ambassador is not without famous friends. A clip for the French label’s upcoming eyewear line showcases the Compton rapper in designer specs alongside actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, and Nana Komatsu. Although Lamar’s appointment is new, his costars have deep relationships with the brand, dating back to 2021.

WWE’s big bet on Las Vegas has already paid off. According to a statement from the Endeavor-owned entity, WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium reached 1.1 billion views across social media while taking place in the home of the Raiders. Additionally, on-site sales were up 45% over the previous record-setting year, with viewership also skyrocketing by 114% as compared to WrestleMania XL.

Queens clolthier Aimé Leon Dore is venturing off the concrete and to the fairway. The Teddy Santis-led label announced its second golf collection on Instagram, following up on its inaugural capsule from 2024. Sports side quests are no stranger to the menswear maker as ALD has also produced product for basketball, running, racing, and tennis.
