McCaffrey Injured as Undefeated Panthers Roll Texans in Thursday Night Showdown

Mercury, Sky Advance to Second Round as WNBA Playoff Tips Off

The Phoenix Mercury secured a last-second victory against the Liberty 83-82, following Betnijah Laney’s game-tying three-pointer for New York with 2.7 seconds left. In other WNBA postseason action, the Chicago Sky handled the Dallas Wings 81-64. Both teams are set to advance to the second round this Sunday, where the Mercury will take on the Seattle Storm and the Sky will face the Lynx.

SEC schools will now be able to give athletes direct financial support in the form of academic achievement awards, up to the legally established maximum of $5,980 per year.
