Kyrie Unveils New Partnership with Chinese Shoe Company Anta

Kyrie Irving officially announced that he is joining the Anta family, with the former Nike athlete unveiling a new deal with the Chinese shoe brand Tuesday night. Kyrie joins Klay Thompson, Kevon Looney, and Gordon Hayward as NBA Anta athletes. Irving is expected to release a PE of the Shock Wave 5 and debut a Kyrie signature shoe at some point during the 2023-24 NBA season.

Microsoft Surges Forward with Activision Blizzard Sale After Key FTC Decision

A judge in the Northern District of California rejected the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) motion for a preliminary injunction to stop Microsoft from acquiring Activation Blizzard on Tuesday, effectively paving the way for the tech company to purchase the video game maker for $69 billion. Once this deal officially goes through, it would be the largest for Microsoft and the largest to date for the video game industry. According to CNBC, Activision shares were up 11% on Tuesday afternoon after the news broke. The US court in San Francisco gave the FTC until Friday to appeal the judge’s ruling.

Francis Ngannou & Tyson Fury Set Date for Highly-anticipated Showdown

A boxing match between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been scheduled for Oct. 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Per a Tuesday press release, the fight will take place in a regulation boxing ring under the standard boxing rules. In a statement, Fury said he’s “looking forward to showing the world that The Gypsy King is the greatest fighter of his generation in an epic battle with another master of his craft.” This showdown also marks one of the first major clashes for Ngannou since leaving the UFC and undergoing surgery in March to repair his MCL and ACL.

Britney Spears Confirms Release Date of Upcoming Memoir

Veteran pop star Britney Spears is finally sharing her story. Gallery Books acquired the rights and confirmed the release date for the entertainer’s long-awaited memoir. Titled The Woman in Me, the book will be available to readers on Oct. 24. Since her debut single “…Baby One More Time” hit the airwaves in 1999, Spears’ career has experienced its fair share of trials and tribulations. Now, at the age of 41 and 20 months removed from a court-ordered conservatorship that lasted 13 years, expect this to be one of the singer’s most candid projects yet.

Not only did we see a larger-than-expected live audience for the opening weekend of the NBA 2K24 Summer League, but viewers at home also tuned in en masse for the stateside debut of No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs. Per the league, it was the most-watched Summer League ever on ESPN networks with an average of 456,000 viewers. Opening weekend, along with the announcement of the NBA In-Season Tournament and the first-ever NBA Con, also provided record online and digital engagement with 300 million video views across NBA social channels and the official app, which recorded the most unique in-app visitors ever during the offseason (Friday and Sunday).

Not only has Lil Uzi Vert earned their third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Pink Tape, but the 26-track project also becomes the first hip-hop album to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200 this year. For reference, the last time we went this long with an album from the genre failing to reach the top spot was 1993, according to Complex. Last week, the 27-year-old announced a 17-date tour across North America to promote the album, which is scheduled to kick off Oct. 21 in Minneapolis and conclude with a hometown show in Philadelphia on Nov. 22.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a huge 2023. Now, he’s looking toward 24. Chrono24, that is. The international footballer announced that he is Chrono24’s newest investor. With its most recent investment round, the luxury watch marketplace surpassed a $1 billion valuation. In a statement, No. 7 reflected on the investment, saying: “As a long-term watch collector and regular user of Chrono24, it’s a pleasure for me to become a shareholder in the company now.
