Gunna is launching SB the Label, a new record company in partnership with Atlantic Music Group, with the rapper serving as CEO. The labelโ€™s first signings are three Atlanta artists: Casper Bluff, Nechie, and Dracc. The move expands Gunnaโ€™s role in the music business beyond his own recording career, which includes three consecutive top-three albums on the Billboard 200. He also dropped a new single, โ€œPop It,โ€ as he prepares his next studio album, Splurge.

Jessica Chastainโ€™s horror film Other Mommy is leading the weekend box office race after earning $3.6 million in Thursday previews. Universal is projecting a $20 million opening for the $19 million-budgeted movie, which debuts in 3,200 theaters despite poor reviews. Meanwhile, Aaron Sorkinโ€™s The Social Reckoning, a follow-up to The Social Network starring Jeremy Strong, pulled in $650,000 in previews. Sony expects the $30 million thriller to open with roughly $7 million across 2,600 theaters.

South African jurist Navanethem โ€œNaviโ€ Pillay has won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her decades of work advancing international law and accountability for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. Pillay has served on South Africaโ€™s High Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and the International Criminal Court. She also served as the United Nations high commissioner for human rights from 2008 to 2014. The award comes with 12 million Swedish kronor, worth roughly $1.2 million.

Druski is taking an equity stake in Gopuff through a new multi-year strategic partnership focused on turning his entertainment ventures into consumer products. The comedian and entrepreneur will collaborate with the instant-commerce company on exclusive merchandise and fan experiences, leveraging his Coulda Been Records and 4Lifers Entertainment brands. Gopuff will provide product development, merchandising, and distribution capabilities.

The New York Knicks said Friday that they are putting contract extensions on hold until later in the 2026-27 season, prioritizing preparations for their title defense. Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Miles McBride, and Tyler Kolek are eligible for extensions, with Towns the biggest question mark. The Knicks reportedly offered the six-time All-Star roughly $200 million over four years, well below the $276 million maximum extension. Mike Ditka, the iconic Chicago Bears coach and Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end, has died at 86, his family announced Friday. Ditka led Chicago to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl XX championship in 1985, cementing his place in NFL history. A five-time Pro Bowl player, he became the first tight end inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988. Darth Vaderโ€™s lightsaber from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi is heading to auction Nov. 12 through Heritage Auctions, with a sale price expected to exceed $1 million. The prop could challenge the record set by Luke Skywalkerโ€™s lightsaber, which sold for $3.75 million in July. Last year, another Vader lightsaber from Empire fetched $3.6 million. James Bond is getting a new comic book series from IDW Publishing, with acclaimed writer Grant Morrison (All-Star Superman, Batman) leading the project alongside Ian Fleming Publications. The six-part opening story, Sunbreaker, will introduce new gadgets, vehicles, and a villain inspired by real-world headlines. Morrison aims to reinvent 007 for modern readers while preserving the characterโ€™s signature mix of espionage, deception, and danger. The series has no announced release date or artist attached yet.
