Doja Cat is hitting the road next year in support of her just-released album Vie. The Tour Ma Vie jaunt kicks off on Feb. 5 in São Paulo, Brazil, with stops across South America, Europe, the UK, and North America. The North American leg includes cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York, wrapping up on Dec. 1 at Madison Square Garden. Pre-sale for the North American shows starts on Oct. 7, with sign-up required by Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. PT.

It was a successful debut weekend for veteran filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, as his latest project, One Battle After Another, opened to a strong $22.4 million in North America and $26.1 million internationally. With a global haul of $48.5 million, this marks the biggest opening of Anderson’s career. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as an ex-revolutionary on the run, the film also marked Anderson’s largest launch weekend in 68 international markets, including the UK, France, Germany, and Australia.

Poised to be the largest buyout of a public company in history (not adjusted for inflation), Electronic Arts has agreed to be taken private in a $55 billion buyout led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, private equity firm Silver Lake, and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners. The deal offers shareholders $210 per share, a 25% premium over the stock’s pre-deal price. Partly financed by a $20 billion loan from JPMorgan Chase, this deal is expected to close in Q2 2026.

Snoop Dogg will return to NBC’s Olympic coverage for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games, the network confirmed Monday. The rapper plans to explore northern Italy, attend official events, and share his unique commentary alongside host Mike Tirico during primetime broadcasts. His popular segment from the 2024 Paris Olympics, “Snoop’s Greatest Hits,” is also coming back.

As the official telecom sponsor of FIFA World Cup 26, Verizon is partnering with David Beckham and other top soccer stars to launch Verizon Ultimate Access, giving footy fans exclusive experiences before and during the tournament, including thousands of free game tickets and pitch-side viewing for select customers. Starting Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. EST, Verizon customers can claim tickets via the My Verizon app. More ticket drops, events, and surprises will be announced as the World Cup nears.

Disney announced Monday that a new Simpsons movie will hit theaters on July 23, 2027, marking the franchise’s return to the big screen since 2007. While plot details and an official title remain under wraps, the announcement featured Homer grabbing a donut topped with sprinkles in the shape of the number “2,” teasing the sequel. The release date was previously reserved for an untitled Marvel film.

In a huge blow for the team, USC women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins confirmed she will sit out the 2025-26 season to focus on recovering from the injury she sustained during the 2025 NCAA Tournament. New parental controls are coming to ChatGPT, per a Monday blog post from OpenAI. Aimed at creating a safer, more age-appropriate experience for teens, accounts will now include stricter content protections, limiting exposure to graphic content, role-play, and harmful beauty standards. Parents and teens must have separate accounts to access the controls, which also enable features such as disabling memory, image generation, voice mode, and data usage for training purposes.

Awarded to artists who break boundaries and innovate within the music industry, Peso Pluma is set to be the recipient of the inaugural Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Oct. 23. The event will broadcast live at 8 p.m. EST from Miami on Telemundo, as well as stream on the Telemundo App and Peacock. Peso Pluma will also perform at the show, as well as Danny Ocean, Ozuna, Olga Tañón, Laura Pausini, and Óscar Maydon.

Jerry Lorenzo, founder of Fear of God, has been awarded the 2025 Innovation Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The honor, presented by Amazon Fashion, celebrates visionaries transforming luxury taste through product innovation, branding, and storytelling. Launched in 2013, Fear of God gained popularity due to its cultural take on elevated tailoring, everyday essentials, and athletic wear.
