Lady Gaga is releasing new music sooner than anticipated, revealing on social media that a new project is coming this week. Called Harlequin, it serves as a companion album to the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux, in which Gaga co-stars as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/Joker. Gaga shared both the cover art and the 13-song tracklist on Tuesday. Earlier this month, the Oscar winner revealed that her upcoming album, which is simply being referred to as LG7 right now, would drop in February 2025. As for the lead single, look out for that sometime next month.

With the NHL season fast approaching, Amazon revealed more details about its NFL RedZone-style program coming to the platform. Every Thursday, Amazon’s Prime Video will air a show hosted by Andi Petrillo and rotating analysts that will follow all pro hockey games in progress and highlight the best moments. Called NHL Coast to Coast, the new program premieres on Oct. 10 and will be available to all Amazon Prime members. Amazon also announced details of its weekly Prime Monday Night Hockey offering, which will stream national regular-season games throughout the campaign. Both shows are part of a larger content partnership between Amazon and the NFL, with other hockey-forward programs set to debut when the 2024-25 season kicks off on Oct. 4.

Joey Bada$$ has been named the artist in residence for fall 2024 at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, the youngest to ever hold the position at 29 years old. Variety reported Tuesday that in this role, the Brooklyn rapper “will conduct masterclasses, lectures, conversations, and Q&A on the topics of music creation, songwriting, the business of music publishing, film and television, and social impact.” Bada$$ joins a talented roster of past artist residencies, including Pharrell Williams, Dawn Richard, Corinne Bailey Rae, Swizz Beatz, and Jack Antonoff.

TikTok confirmed Tuesday it’s shutting down its music-streaming app — TikTok Music — on Nov. 28. Initially meant to compete with the likes of Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify, the social media company is encouraging users to transfer playlists to other services before Oct. 28. However, TikTok will continue to partner with the aforementioned streaming services as it pushes its “Add To Music App” feature moving forward. Unveiled last year, the function allows account holders to save singles they like on TikTok to playlists on their preferred service.

LeBron James’ and Maverick Carter’s entertainment brand The SpringHill Company and European indie studio Mediawan have agreed to a partnership with an emphasis on increasing both companies’ presence in their respective region. Mediawan, which owns Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company, and SpringHill will work together to develop and co-produce original movies and TV shows. The two firms already have several projects in production, including Weekend Warriors, an iteration of the 2023 German-language basketball dramedy film Weekend Rebels.

The Miami Heat are the latest NBA team to partner with Robinhood, making the financial services company Miami’s newest jersey sponsor. Helping facilitate the deal was Klutch Sports, who also worked with Robinhood to orchestrate existing partnerships with the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies as the company extends its reach in the NBA. “Robinhood’s mission to make finance accessible was a strong fit with the Miami HEAT’s dedication to community, culture, and excellence, making this partnership a natural choice,” said Andrew Feinberg, Head of Klutch Global Partnerships.

For the second year in a row, Princeton University tops the US News Best Colleges rankings, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University finishing at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. After finishing tied for third last year, Stanford University fell to fourth place on the 2025 list, while Yale University rounds out the top five.

Russell Westbook unveiled the newly expanded Westbrook Academy on behalf of his Why Not? Foundation on Monday, continuing efforts to give back to the Compton community where he was raised. The new facilities feature modernized science labs, two film and multimedia rooms, a student lounge and library area, two wellness centers, and more. Despite suiting up for the Denver Nuggets when the NBA returns next month, Westbrook promises he is “LA to the core, and I want to represent LA wherever I go.”
