LeBron James is headed to Philadelphia for seemingly the final chapter of his NBA career. In what he called his “last decision,” the 41-year-old superstar announced Friday that heโll join the 76ers on a two-year, $8 million deal with a player option, choosing the team over retirement and other potential destinations such as Miami and Cleveland. James said he still wants to compete for another championship, and Philadelphia believes his arrival — alongside Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Maxey — gives the Sixers their best shot at ending a 43-year title drought.
Paramount Agrees to Delay Warner Bros.Takeover Amid Antitrust Fight
Paramount Skydance has agreed to delay closing its proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery until after an antitrust trial, with the deal on hold until June 2027 or five days after a court ruling, whichever comes first. Johnny Depp is returning to a major Hollywood role as Ebenezer Scrooge in Ebenezer, a reimagining of Charles Dickensโ A Christmas Carol from director Ti West. Mark Cuban is finally getting into baseball. Universal, Atari Partner to Bring 10 Classic Games to Hollywood
Universal Pictures is turning 10 classic Atari games into movies. The studio has partnered with Atari and Entertainment 360 to develop feature films based on iconic titles including Pong, Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Breakout, and Yarsโ Revenge. An original script for the first, undisclosed adaptation has already been acquired, with producer Guymon Casady and writers Matt Reilly and Carl Hampe attached. The first film is expected to begin production next year ahead of a potential 2028 release.
ChatGPT Health Is Now Available to All U.S. Users
OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT Health to all logged-in U.S. users over 18 across its Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. The feature lets users connect health information and medical records from services including Apple Health, Epic, and One Medical, allowing ChatGPT to use that context across conversations. OpenAI says health-related queries have grown to 300 million per week, but emphasizes that ChatGPT is not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions and users should rely on professional medical advice.
