Ryan Reynolds recently confirmed that another Deadpool movie is officially in the works, marking the franchise’s next chapter after 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine. While Reynolds didn’t reveal plot details or whether it will be a solo film, he teased unused comic storylines and promised, “it’s going to be great.” The previous installment grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film ever.

Speaking of superheroes, Sony dropped the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Tuesday, offering a new look at Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and an explosive showdown with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. The film finds Spider-Man living alone and protecting New York after erasing himself from the memories of those closest to him, with Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando also returning. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film hits theaters July 31.

Prada has enlisted Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins to helm its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, starring brand ambassadors Hunter Schafer, Troye Sivan, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Chen Haoyu. The campaign transforms everyday moments of “domestic intimacy” into cinematic vignettes, spotlighting pieces from Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’ latest collections. The collaboration reunites Jenkins and Harrison after Mufasa: The Lion King while continuing Prada’s longstanding partnerships with its global ambassadors.

Disney and Kraft Heinz have signed a multi-year strategic partnership spanning film, TV, streaming, ESPN, theme parks, and Disney Cruise Line. The deal will bring brands like Heinz, Philadelphia, and Kraft Mac & Cheese into Disney experiences through new menu items, condiment stations, and activations at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and D23, while also opening the door for branded integrations across Disney’s entertainment portfolio and major live events.

BlackRock, Carhartt, Ford, and Google have launched the Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades, a coalition aimed at tackling the nation’s growing skilled labor shortage. HBO has released the first trailer for Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks, giving fans an inside look at the defending Super Bowl champions as they prepare for the 2026 season. The five-episode series premieres Aug. 4 on HBO and HBO Max, marking the first time Hard Knocks has followed a reigning champion since its debut season in 2001. Topps is turning one of soccer’s most iconic photos into a collectible, announcing a one-of-one trading card featuring Lionel Messi holding an infant Lamine Yamal. The image gained new significance after Yamal and Spain defeated Messi’s Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final, symbolizing a passing of the torch between generations. The ultra-rare card will be randomly inserted into Topps Stadium Club UCC boxes later this year.

A federal judge has approved Anthropic‘s $1.5 billion settlement with authors and publishers over illegally downloading millions of copyrighted books to build its AI training library. Rights holders will receive roughly $3,000 per work across an estimated 500,000 titles. While the payout is the largest copyright settlement in U.S. history, the broader legal battle continues after the court separately ruled that training AI models on copyrighted works can qualify as fair use.

Amazon MGM Studios has officially greenlit an eight-episode RoboCop TV series for Prime Video from Blumhouse Atomic Monster. The adaptation will be led by showrunner Peter Ocko, with James Wan serving as an executive producer, and aims to revive the original 1987 film’s satirical look at corporate power, technology, and identity. The cult classic’s creators will also be involved as the franchise gets a modern reimagining for a new generation.
