Bad Bunny’s hometown residency in Puerto Rico will be legendary in more ways than one. According to the island’s tourism arm, Discover Puerto Rico, the artist’s stint at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico is estimated to boost the island’s economy by $181 million and bring in 600,000 tourists over the 30-date run. For context, the 18,500-seat venue sold 450,000 tickets within four hours, a record for the Coliseo.

The anticipation for the latest Superman film from DC Studios was real, evident by the summer’s newest blockbuster picking up an astonishing $22.5 million during Thursday previews. Not only is it the highest of the year thus far, but also for director James Gunn‘s career, beating out the $17.5 million grossed in previews for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The positively-received superhero flick is expected to debut anywhere from $100 million to as high as $140 million over the weekend.

To celebrate the upcoming release of Happy Gilmore 2, premiering on Netflix on July 25, Callaway Golf has unveiled a limited edition Odyssey Hockey Stick Putter ($500) and accompanying Chrome Tour Golf Balls ($60/dozen) inspired by the movie. The hockey stick putter features an updated insert and design from the original and comes with a matching sock headcover, while the balls boast hockey-like visuals and iconic phrases from the 1996 original.

Cactus Jack Records‘ compilation project JackBoys 2 is dropping this Sunday, Travis Scott confirmed on social media Thursday night. The album is made up of 18 tracks and is hosted by Bun B, while featuring numerous members of the label’s roster, including La Flame himself, Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, SoFaygo, Wallie the Sensei, and Chase B. The Jackboys 2 era officially kicked off Tuesday with the release of the single “2000 Excursion.”

The Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival (MVAAFF) is set to return on Aug. 1-9 with an A-list roster scheduled to make special appearances, host screenings, and participate in panel discussions. Issa Rae, Jennifer Hudson, and Dwyane Wade will all make an appearance, as well as Courtney B. Vance, Debbie Allen, and Tracee Ellis Ross, among others. Festival itinerary includes running clips from Spike Lee’s latest film, Highest 2 Lowest, as well as a new documentary chronicling pioneering basketball coach and former Nike exec George Raveling.

The Official World Golf Ranking confirmed Friday that it had received the application and has started the review process to determine whether LIV Golf would be approved to be eligible for world ranking points. The OWGR denied the Saudi-backed league’s first bid in 2023, citing a lack of proper relegation and promotion in addition to a lack of field difference between tournaments as reasons why. The OWGR board is scheduled to meet at next week’s British Open.

Candy meets cereal in this latest acquisition. Nutella maker Ferrero Group is purchasing cereal giant WK Kellogg Co. in a deal worth $3.1 billion. The agreement now combines Ferrero, a family-owned Italian company that also produces Tic Tacs and Ferrero Rocher candies, with the maker of Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, and other nostalgic cereals. Pending approval from shareholders and regulators, the deal is expected to close later this year.

Venus Williams is set to return to the court in a tournament setting for the first time in over a year after accepting a wild card spot at the upcoming Mubadala Citi DC Open. Williams, who turned 45 last month, last competed at the 2024 Miami Open, while her last time playing in DC came in 2022. Throughout her career, Williams has compiled seven Grand Slam titles — five at Wimbledon and two at the US Open.

Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke are all set to reprise their fictional roles as doctors for the reboot of Scrubs, which ABC ordered for the 2025-2026 cycle. Per Deadline, all three will also executive produce alongside creator Bill Lawrence, who called the show a mix between a revival and a reboot. The original series aired on NBC for seven seasons before heading over to ABC for two more through 2010.

United is adding 24 nonstop flights to some of the biggest college football games of the season. Nearly half of these new routes are for Notre Dame games, including the marquee showdown against USC on Oct. 18. Other key matchups include Texas versus Ohio State on Aug. 30, Penn State playing the Buckeyes on Nov. 1, and the Trojans facing off against ebraska on Nov. 1. Flights are already available for purchase.
