A24โ€™s Backrooms continues its historic box office run, surpassing $350 million globally after just 37 days in theaters. The $10 million horror film is now the studioโ€™s highest-grossing movie ever worldwide, setting A24 records in markets including China, France, Taiwan, Poland, and Thailand. The breakout success has also launched director Kane Parsons, who built a following through viral Backrooms shorts, into Hollywoodโ€™s spotlight

TOGETHXR and iHeartMedia are teaming up to launch Everyone Watches Womenโ€™s Sportsโ„ข, a new weekly podcast spotlighting the athletes, personalities, and cultural moments driving womenโ€™s sports forward. Debuting July 9, the audio and video series will feature hosts Ari Chambers, Jordan Chiles, and Sam Jay, with surprise guests joining the conversation. The show aims to become a hub for the growing womenโ€™s sports fandom.

Apple and Broadcom are extending their chip partnership through 2031 with a new deal focused on custom ASIC silicon. The specialized chips will power multiple generations of Apple products, including future AI-related technology. Broadcom, which has supplied Apple with connectivity components for years, continues to expand its role as demand for custom AI hardware accelerates across the tech industry.

The Big 12 is set to make one of the biggest sponsorship moves in college sports with a multi-year deal with Monster Energy. The partnership — reportedly worth $20 million per year — will make Monster the conferenceโ€™s “entitlement partner” for football and basketball, featuring co-branded jersey patches, field and court logos, and naming rights for regular-season competitions. The agreement is expected to deliver about $1 million annually to each member school.

Jay-Z is taking his 30-year career celebration overseas. The hip-hop icon has added a London stop to his limited run of anniversary performances, with a Sept. 4 show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Kyle Lowry is officially calling it a career, but staying close to the game. The longtime point guard announced his NBA retirement after signing a one-day contract with the Toronto Raptors, who will retire his No. 7 jersey. Netflix is expanding beyond traditional films and series with a new publisher video partnership featuring content from some of the biggest media brands. Beginning Aug. 3, Netflix subscribers will find short-form and episodic videos from outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, Rolling Stone, Vogue, People, and others directly on the homepage. The offerings will cover entertainment, food, travel, fashion, and lifestyle content as Netflix looks to deepen daily engagement.

Gotham FC is getting a new home. The reigning NWSL champions announced they will move to Etihad Park, NYCFCโ€™s upcoming soccer-specific stadium, beginning in 2028. The move will give Gotham a dedicated world-class venue as the club continues its rise after winning two championships in three seasons. Etihad Park is set to open in 2027 as New York Cityโ€™s first soccer-specific stadium.

MrBeast is bringing his entrepreneurial expertise to the tank. The creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, will join ABCโ€™s Shark Tank as a guest shark for Season 18 this fall. Heโ€™ll be joined by other guest investors, including Mindy Kaling, J.J. Watt, Steven Bartlett, and Erin and Sara Foster, as the show continues to embrace creator-driven star power.
