Prime Video has dropped the first teaser trailer for The Greatest, the first fully authorized scripted series chronicling the life of Muhammad Ali. Executive produced by Michael B. Jordan and Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali, the limited series stars Jaalen Best as a young Cassius Clay and explores the boxing legend’s rise from Olympic gold medalist to heavyweight champion. Rather than retelling familiar moments, the series promises a deeper look at the man behind one of sports’ most iconic legacies ahead of its Nov. 4 premiere.

Rogers Communications has completed its takeover of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), buying the remaining 25% stake from Kilmer Sports for $3.06 billion and securing full ownership of the Toronto sports conglomerate. The deal gives Rogers control of the Maple Leafs, Raptors, Toronto FC, and related assets, alongside the Blue Jays and Sportsnet. The company says the consolidation will strengthen its sports-media ecosystem and unlock long-term shareholder value as franchise valuations continue to rise.

Microsoft is cutting 4,800 jobs companywide, including 3,200 across Xbox, in what CEO Asha Sharma called “the most significant restructure in Xbox history.” The overhaul will unfold over the next year as the gaming division trims management layers, spins out Compulsion Games and Double Fine, and shifts Ninja Theory and Undead Labs to new ownership. Kai Cenat is making his return to streaming on Monday night after a nine-month hiatus, marking his first major broadcast of 2026 with a dual-platform simulcast on Twitch and YouTube at 8 p.m. ET. The Venice Film Festival will award George Clooney the 2026 Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, honoring his career as an actor, director, and producer. Versant is expanding its sports portfolio, agreeing to acquire golf simulator company Full Swing from Bruin Capital for $530 million in cash. The deal adds simulator technology used by consumers and professional athletes to a golf business that already includes Golf Channel, GolfNow, and GolfPass. It’s the latest move in CEO Mark Lazarus‘ strategy to diversify beyond traditional media and grow higher-margin digital and platform businesses following Versant’s spinout from Comcast.

Sky, owned by Comcast, has agreed to acquire the U.K. media and entertainment business of ITV in a $2.13 billion deal. The transaction includes ITV’s TV networks and streaming platform ITVX, while its production arm, ITV Studios, will be spun off as a standalone company. The move marks another major consolidation step in European media as streaming competition intensifies.

CBS will air a live one-hour primetime special, This Is UFC: McGregor vs. Holloway, on July 10 ahead of UFC 329, which streams on Paramount+. The broadcast will feature live weigh-ins, interviews with Conor McGregor, UFC executives, and additional coverage ahead of the July 11 rematch against Max Holloway at T-Mobile Arena, marking a major cross-platform push for the fight.

Louis Vuitton is reviving its Classic Car Rally this September with the Dolomites Run in Italy, marking the return of the event after a 14-year hiatus. The four-day drive will feature 25 vintage cars traveling roughly 373 miles from near Venice to Monza, ahead of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix. The route will include timed trials through the Dolomites, with eligible vehicles including pre-1970 models from brands like Ferrari, Maserati, and Bugatti.
