Amazon Taps Megan Thee Stallion for 10th Prime Day Event

Jeff Bezos is betting big on hip-hop in 2024. Following the success of Kendrick Lamar‘s Amazon Prime live-streamed Pop-Out concert, the tech billionaire is proving to have more than just a “Rich Spirit” as he’s tapped Megan Thee Stallion as the headliner for Amazon’s 10th Prime Day event. The Houston Hottie took to Instagram to unveil the promotional single, “It’s Prime Day,” with a thematic visual and shopping bars. This year’s Prime Day will take place July 16-17.

Disney Retains Top Spot for TV Content Distribution

The month of May was mighty good for House of Mouse. According to Neilsen tracking, Disney, which includes the likes of ABC, ESPN, FX, Hulu, and Disney+, accounted for 11.4% of all TV consumption in May. YouTube, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery rounded out the top five for May, while the likes of Netflix, Fox, and Amazon all vie for increased eyeballs. While Disney’s month-over-month market share was almost identical to that of April, owning live sporting events like the NBA Playoffs certainly helped.

André 3000 Announces 'New Blue Sun' Fall 2024 Tour

After a string of festival performances, André 3000 is taking his flute cross-country on tour to support his 2023 album, New Blue Sun. The most acclaimed ambient jazz album from the Outkast MC will make the move from fairgrounds to theatres this fall, beginning with a Sept. 19 set in New Orleans. Mr. 3 Stacks will tour the project until Nov. 14 in Atlanta, appropriately opening the road run in the home of Jazz and closing it in his birthplace.

Kim Kardashian is going for gold this summer. The serial entrepreneur enlisted Team USA athletes Sunisa Lee, Fred Kerley, Gabby Thomas, Jessica Long, Caeleb Dressel, and Nick Mayhugh to help unveil Skims‘ limited-edition Olympic collection, which will be available on Wednesday. Fans of the global games will see more than just London and France this summer in Paris, as American athletes will be geared up in intimates from Kim K, covered in Old Glory and the Olympic rings.

Kansas City Chiefs Collaborate with Hallmark on Christmas Movie

Roger Goodell‘s game plan for world domination just got a lot cheerier. Multi-billion-dollar brand Hallmark and the four-time Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs are teaming up on their own Christmas movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. According to Variety, the collab will extend beyond the silver screen by way of co-branded merchandise and game-day activations. Skydance Sports will executive produce the project, with Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, and Ed Begley Jr. all reporting for production next month.

'Made by Google' Event in August to Detail AI Updates, Pixel Porfolio

On Aug. 13, the world will see just how Google sees the future. The $2.8 trillion search engine will host its anticipated keynote event, Made by Google, as invites have begun to surface, showcasing advancements in AI capabilities, Droid devices, and its Pixel portfolio. Engadget notes that the event is switching both seasons and locations, taking place this summer in Mountain View, CA, rather than its standard fall setting of New York City.
