Columbus has been awarded the newest NWSL franchise, with Haslam Sports Group leading an ownership group set to pay a record $205 million expansion fee as the league grows to 18 teams alongside Atlanta. The club, which will begin play in 2028, will share ScottsMiracle-Gro Field with MLSโ€™s Columbus Crew, along with a new training facility. The total investment is expected to top $300 million, supplemented by $50 million in public funding.

Polymarket is in talks to raise another $400 million after securing $600 million at a $15 billion valuation, up from $9 billion last year. In other Amazon news, the company is expanding into weight loss care, launching a GLP-1 program through Amazon One Medical that integrates prescriptions, telehealth, and pharmacy delivery. Patients can access drugs like Wegovy for as low as $25 per month with insurance. Shares of competing weight-loss and biotech firms such as Hims & Hers Health and Viking Therapeutics fell on the news as investors weighed increased competition.

Microsoft is lowering prices on its Xbox Game Pass, cutting Ultimate to $22.99 and PC to $13.99 per month under new company leadership. At the same time, the service will no longer include Call of Duty titles at launch, a reversal after Microsoftโ€™s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. New entries will arrive roughly a year after release as the company resets its gaming strategy.
