WNBA, WNBPA Agree to New CBA with Increased Salary Cap, Player Pay
The WNBA and the WNBPA reached a verbal agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement early Wednesday, just two months before the season begins. The deal dramatically raises player pay, with the salary cap reportedly jumping to $7 million (from $1.5M in 2025), a $1.4 million supermax, average salaries around $600,000, and minimum salaries above $300,000. The agreement, which still requires ratification, also includes an average of roughly 20% revenue sharing for players.
