Oz Pearlman Will Never Forget His Viral ‘Hard Knocks’ Moment with Aaron Rodgers & the Jets

Last Updated: October 31, 2025
The popular mentalist stunned Rodgers and Co. during their Hard Knocks appearance with a jaw-dropping training camp trick that left the star QB speechless.

Aaron Rodgers dominated NFL headlines in 2023 when he made the shocking decision to leave his longtime home in Green Bay. The idea of teaming up with then-head coach Robert Saleh in New York and joining a roster loaded with talent like Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and former Packers teammate Allen Lazard sent excitement surging through the Big Apple.

It was no surprise, then, that HBO and the NFL chose the Jets for that season’s edition of Hard Knocks. The show offered fans a rare look behind the curtain at the growing chemistry between Rodgers and Wilson, while also spotlighting defensive standouts like C.J. Mosley and Sauce Gardner. But one training camp moment in particular stole the show — a scene so stunning that it left even Rodgers himself in disbelief.

Oz Pearlman, the popular mentalist who has been making the rounds in sports, business, and entertainment, stopped by the Jets’ training camp that year to perform one of his tricks. Rodgers was chosen to participate, with Pearlman claiming that the star QB was very skeptical at first, attempting to “make my life harder” as he worked through his craft.

“I think it was serendipitous, but I’ll never forget that moment because, if you were in that room, and [Adam] Schefter was in the room with me, five minutes in, if you were betting an over/under, parlay, am I going to get Aaron Rodgers involved and have the most viral clip of the year? You would’ve been like 99% chance no,” Oz said on an upcoming episode of Network with Rich Kleiman.
