Tyler, the Creator: From LA to Amazon

Last Updated: April 19, 2022
A new deal with Amazon Music and Prime Video will project Tyler’s live L.A. performance on his CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST tour to 240 countries.

Tyler, The Creator is currently on his CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST tour, and if you’ve seen any videos from this leg, you’ve probably felt some serious F.O.M.O.

Even Tyler’s former OFWGKTA affiliate, the notoriously reclusive Frank Ocean, made an appearance at Madison Square Garden earlier this month:

But fret not, as this fear of missing out may just be remedied soon enough.

Tyler is the latest big star to ink a deal with Amazon Music and Prime Video to bring his live Los Angeles performance to screens around the world via livestream performance on Thursday, March 31, beginning at 7:50 pm P.T.

The special livestream of the concert event will feature special guests Kali Uchis, Vince Staples and Teezo Touchdown — giving fans an opportunity to experience a front-row seat at this sold-out, widely praised show. The performance will feature new songs from his latest project, as well as songs from his 10-plus year catalog (Hopefully: “Oldie“).

Available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, the concert will be made available to view for free on-demand on Prime Video immediately following the livestream event.

The North American tour began in February, supporting his critically acclaimed album Call Me If You Get Lost. The project debuted atop the Billboard 200 and is up for best rap album at the 64th Grammy Awards on Sunday.

“Tyler, The Creator is such an important artist, and we can’t wait to bring his show into the homes of music fans around the globe,” said Tim Hinshaw, head of hip-hop and R&B, Amazon Music in a statement. “Tyler has gone above and beyond with this tour, constructing elaborate stadium-sized productions for his music, and we can’t wait for our customers to experience the full spectacle of this show with this livestream.”

The creative studio Happy Place will produce the livestream. Fans will be able to shop exclusive, limited-edition merch for the CMIYGL Tour online, exclusively through the Amazon Music Artist Merch Shop.

“Tyler, The Creator infuses culture with his bold talent and first-rate artistry. He is a true phenomenon who effortlessly pushes creative boundaries with his music and storytelling, and we can’t wait to give his fans a front-row seat to this memorable concert,” added Alaina Bartels, head of talent synergy and specials, Amazon Studios. “This livestream event showcases how Prime Video and Amazon Music continue to be destinations where artists can bring their big ideas and content dreams to make them a reality, with support across multiple Amazon businesses.”

For Tyler, one of music’s best and most creative world-builders, the album was simply a jumping-off point. Since releasing CMIYGL, he’s been setting up experiences for fans with the hopes of invoking the same sense of wonder he feels whenever he travels the world and makes his art. During the shows, Tyler has been maneuvering the down the aisles and into the crowd in a boat as album standout “WUSYANAME” blasts through the venues.

In Houston, the boat ran through a mini-set of the 2017 Flower Boy project and early career classics such as “Yonkers,” “She,” and “Bimmer.”

Back in December, he even celebrated the launch of his new Golf Le Fleur collection by building a whole structure on a mountaintop in Malibu, and encouraging guests to take a day trip out from the city. When visitors arrived, they were picked up by a fleet of Rolls Royces and driven inside the world Tyler had created.

Now for those who can’t make it in real life, Tyler, The Creator is picking them up once again and bringing them along for the ride.
