Zamir White Scores Three TDs as Georgia Blanks No. 8 Arkansas

Georgia continued its dominant season, as they shutout No. 8 Arkansas 37-0 at home, keeping them perfect at 5-0. The win came as the Bulldogs sat starting quarterback JT Daniels due to a lat injury, but tailback Zamir White had a career day with two rushing TDs and a recovered blocked punt for a third score. Next week, Georgia takes on a longtime SEC nemesis, No. 22 Auburn, in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

Alabama Stays Perfect, Dominates Ole Miss 42-21

The Crimson Tide continued to assert their commanding reign over the SEC, handily defeating Ole Miss 42-21. Saban easily out-coached former mentee Lane Kiffin as Alabama remained undefeated on the season. Fifth-year senior running back Brian Robinson Jr. had four touchdowns on the ground as he put up a career high 171 yards on 36 touches. 

NL West Crown Up for Grabs on Final Day of MLB Regular Season

Julio Urías nabbed his 20th win as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Milwaukee 8-3 on Saturday, but the defending champs’ fate is jointly held. The Dodgers are in hot pursuit of their ninth straight NL West title, but on the final day of the regular season, there are a number of potential scenarios to determine who will come out on top. The winners of Sunday’s Dodgers/Brewers and Giants/Padres matchups will determine who takes home the divisional crown in advance of this week’s playoff games.

Ninth-inning Surge Lifts Red Sox Over Nats

In a snapshot of their up-and-down season, the Boston Red Sox rode a late surge to beat the Washington Nationals 5-3 on Saturday. After trailing all game, the team put together a scrappy four-run effort in the ninth inning to secure the win and re-join the Yankees at the top of the AL Wild Card. Today’s final set of games will decide the fate of the division, setting up Tuesday’s win-or-go-home AL Wild Card Game.

In Reunion with Belichick, Brady Eyes NFL Passing Record

It’s the beginning of “the frenemy era” between two Patriots em legends as Tom Brady makes his return to New England for the first time since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady needs only 68 yards against Bill Belichick and his old team to eclipse Drew Brees’ all-time NFL record of 80,358 passing yards. However, TB12 will be missing one of his favorite targets, as Rob Gronkowski is officially out for Sunday — and likely several weeks — with cracked ribs. 

Lemma, Jepkosgei Win London Marathon

The iconic race returned to its home route after coronavirus limited the event to elites only in 2020. Ethiopian Sisay Lemma took home the men’s crown with a blistering 2:04:01, breaking from the pack in the race’s final stretch. Reigning New York Marathon champ Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya was the best of the women at 2:17:43.
