Kendrick Lamar & Dave Free Team Up with South Park Creators for Paramount Movie

While the internet debates whether or not he is in a rap beef with Drake and J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar is making movies. On Thursday, Paramount Pictures announced that it’s releasing a live-action comedy in July 2025 produced by Kendrick and Dave Free’s creative company pgLang alongside South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. While announcing the news at CinemaCon, Paramount CEO Brian Robbins said, “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read, and it’s certain to create some fireworks.” The pgLang crew has been involved in a wide range of creative endeavors in the past, including Converse collabs, original short films, and much more.

Nike Teases Victor Wembanyama Prototype Shoe in Paris

Ahead of the Paris Olympics this summer, Nike has been showcasing some of the new sneakers it will be outfitting Team USA in various sports. It’s also giving a glimpse of the future in its Nike: On Air presentation, displaying a handful of prototypes, including a potential shoe for rising NBA star Victor Wembanyama. While these are just concepts at this point and don’t guarantee these exact models will reach production, these showings are a good potential preview of what Wemby‘s eventual signature shoe could look like. This particular prototype was designed using AI and insights from Nike’s Sports Research Lab. The futuristic shoe, along with the rest of the dozen on display, shows where Nike appears to be headed with its Air technology.

Caitlin Clark Spikes Fever Ticket Sales

Caitlin Clark is WNBA-bound. The presumptive No. 1 pick is expected to head to the Indiana Fever. Ahead of her selection, Clark is already having an outsized impact on the WNBA team. Reps for the club reported that they’ve observed a substantial spike in ticket sales, as fans make plans to catch Clark in action. While the team did not release actual numbers at this time, reps confirmed the bump to ESPN. SeatGeek reports that home game tickets run fans $182 on the resale market at this time. Additionally, the Fever got prime booking as the W released its broadcast schedule on Wednesday. Thirty-six of the team’s 40 games will be televised nationally.

Deion Sanders, Boost Mobile Release Limited-edition Razr Phone

Deion Sanders has represented a new wave of the modern college football coach, but when it comes to his cell phone, he’s keeping it old school. The Colorado head coach has partnered with Boost Mobile to release a limited-edition Coach Prime-branded Motorola Razr phone. “First and foremost, my signature motorola razr is NEXT LEVEL and I wanna see each and every darn one of you rocking these!” Sanders said. And while the modern flip phone may have some old-school features, Coach Prime’s signature style pops on this black and gold phone that boasts Sanders’ mantra “You Gotta Believe” as well as his personal signature.

WNBA Legend Ticha Penicheiro Joining Ramon Sessions at On Time Agency

Former WNBA star Ticha Penicheiro is joining former NBA guard Ramon Sessions at On Time Agency, Chris Haynes reported Thursday, making it the first joint venture between a player-turned-agent in both the NBA and WNBA. According to Haynes, the partnership “enhances their player-driven model and seeks to redefine a new standard for representation.” Sessions is the founder and CEO of On Time, whose “approach is rooted in firsthand experiences and wisdom from those who have excelled on the global stage,” according to the company’s website. 

Taylor Swift is Back on TikTok Ahead of New Album Drop

After 10 weeks off of the platform, Taylor Swift is back on TikTok as the company has been battling Universal Music group in a licensing dispute. Swift’s songs were removed from the social media app in February after the two sides failed to renew their previous pact with a deadline of Jan. 31. The surprising move comes just ahead of Taylor’s next studio album — The Tortured Poets Department — release on April 19.
