Michael Jordan Rings in 60th Birthday with Record Make-A-Wish America Gift

NBA legend Michael Jordan is celebrating his 60th birthday by giving back. The six-time champion is donating $10 million to Make A Wish Foundation — the largest donation ever received from an individual in the organization’s 43-year history. “For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids,” Jordan said in a news release. “Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration.” MJ first donated to Make A Wish in 1989, then became an Ambassador in 2008.

Rich Paul and New Balance Launch “Klutch Athletics”

Rich Paul and New Balance are doubling down on their collaboration. The Klutch Sports founder and LeBron James’s agent is launching a sportswear brand in partnership with New Balance, the parties announced Wednesday. Aptly enough, the new label is known as Klutch Athletics. “There’s a gap right now that we can fill,” Paul said via CNBC. “We’ve seen other brands moving away from youth sports and training, so we’re focused on bringing the new look of training for the next generation.”

Post Malone Headlines NBA All-Star Weekend Entertainment Lineup 

It’s a home game for Utah native Post Malone as he headlines NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City. The NBA announced that the Twelve Carat Toothache singer will headline the NBA event in addition to recent Grammy Award winner Tems and Burna Boy. Post will perform prior to tip-off on TNT at Vivint Smart Home Arena, shortly after the first-ever live draft of the All-Star teams by captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. After that, actor Vin Diesel will introduce fans to the game in promotion of the new Fast & The Furious movie, Fast X, coming this summer.

ESPN Films Announces ‘The Yankees Win’ Docuseries

The Bronx Bombers are coming to ESPN Films. As the 2023 MLB season approaches, the network announced The Yankees Win, an eight-part docuseries highlighting the 50-year reign of the Steinbrenner family. According to a release, “Episodes will chronicle every compelling chapter of Yankees history — their successes, controversies, rivalries, stars, feuds, and collective legacy.” Jonathan Hock signed on to direct, while JJ Abrams and Connor Schell will serve as producers.

Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy on the biggest stage in sports and entertainment. Now, coming off the Super Bowl halftime show, she’s taking to the pages of British Vogue to dive into the details of her epic performance, her growing family with A$AP Rocky, and so much more. Snoop Dogg Brings Death Row Records Catalog Back to Streaming Platforms

Death Row Records is coming back to streaming services everywhere. Snoop Dogg took the catalog down after acquiring the iconic label in 2020, but now, he has announced the songs are set to return. First, however, TikTok’s SoundOn will have a week-long headstart as part of the exclusive partnership.

Lewis Hamilton Fires Back at FIA After Restrictions 

Lewis Hamilton is never one to hold back. The seven-time World Drivers’ champion announced that he does not plan to remain mum on causes that are important to him in the wake of FIA’s restrictions around political protests in the run-up to the new F1 season. In the past, Hamilton has taken up for the Black Lives Matter movement, while remaining actively involved in a host of different causes, from educational access to championing the arts. He told reporters, “I am still going to be speaking my mind. We still have this platform, and there are still a lot of things we need to tackle.” The new F1 season begins March 5.
