Zootopia 2 had a strong start at the box office, earning $10.2 million in Tuesday previews, Disney Animation’s second-best preview result ever behind Moana. The film is expected to make $125-$150 million throughout Thanksgiving weekend. Meanwhile, Wicked: For Good continued to lead the domestic box office on Tuesday with $15.7 million, bringing its totals to $177 million domestically and $250 million worldwide after five days.
Adrian Newey Tapped to Lead Aston Martin F1 in 2026
Adrian Newey will become team principal of the Aston Martin F1 team next year, expanding his current role as managing technical partner after joining the team in March. He will oversee the technical department and trackside operations. Andy Cowell, who has been team principal and CEO during the team’s restructuring, will shift to chief strategy officer, focusing on optimizing partnerships with Honda, Aramco, and Valvoline.

Jonathan Bailey is 2025’s highest-grossing box office star following the huge success of Wicked: For Good, which earned $150 million domestically and $226 million worldwide on opening weekend. Combined with his other major release this year — Jurassic World: Rebirth, which has made $339.6 million domestically and $868.8 million globally — Bailey’s films have placed him ahead of all other actors. Only A Minecraft Movie, Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, and China’s Ne Zha 2 have earned more than Rebirth worldwide this year, while Superman leads the latest Jurassic film domestically.

Apple Passes Samsung in Total Shipments Behind Strong iPhone 17 Demand
Apple is on track to ship more smartphones than Samsung in 2025 for the first time in 14 years, according to Counterpoint Research. The firm expects Apple to ship about 243 million iPhones this year, compared to Samsung’s 235 million, giving Apple a 19.4% global market share versus Samsung’s 18.7%. The surge is driven by strong demand for the iPhone 17 lineup, which saw U.S. sales rise 12% and China sales rise 18% in the first four weeks compared to the previous generation.
U.S. Mortgage Rates Dip Following 3-Week Climb
Average U.S. mortgage rates slipped after three weeks of increases, following a drop in long-term Treasury yields. The 30-year fixed rate fell to 6.23% from 6.26% last week, down from 6.81% a year ago. The 15-year fixed rate also declined to 5.51%, while the 10-year Treasury yield dropped to 4.01%, down from 4.13% a week earlier.
Sophie Cunningham Joins Growing Project B Roster
Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham has joined Project B, the upcoming international women’s basketball league set to launch in late 2026. She joins WNBA stars like Nneka Ogwumike, Kelsey Mitchell, Jonquel Jones, Alyssa Thomas, and Jewell Loyd in the new league, founded by former Facebook and Skype executives. With plans to approach women’s basketball from a tech-driven angle, Project B will feature a global, Formula 1-style format, with six teams of 11 players competing in traveling tournaments over seven weeks.
Nike, Jacquemus Launch Après Ski Collection
Nike and French label Jacquemus have teamed up to launch a skiwear collection as part of their ongoing partnership. The 18-piece capsule is “designed to offer uncompromising winter sport performance” and includes everything from long-sleeve shirts to triple-layer GORE-TEX jackets and pants. The Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski collection is available now in Jacquemus stores and on the brand’s website before becoming available at Nike on Dec. 3.
