Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have joined LeBron James as the only active NBA players with over $1 billion in career earnings, combining salaries and endorsements, per Sportico. The future Hall of Famers are also the only ones earning at least $100 million in the 2025–26 season. LeBron tops the list with $132.6 million ($52.6M salary, $80M endorsements), while Curry leads the league in salary ($59.6M, $50M endorsements) and Durant rounds out the top three ($53.3M salary, $50M endorsements). James and Durant are the only players in NBA history to surpass $500 million in career on-court earnings, with Durant reaching the milestone this season through his $53.3 million salary from the Houston Rockets.

ESPN and Penn Entertainment have ended their $1.5 billion, 10-year partnership after just two years, officially shutting down ESPN Bet. Shortly after the announcement, ESPN revealed a new deal naming DraftKings as its official sportsbook and odds provider. PENN plans to rebrand its betting platform as theScore Bet next month. Under the new agreement, DraftKings will power the betting tab within the ESPN app and offer special promotions tied to ESPN Unlimited, the network’s new direct-to-consumer service.

Google is tapping into the prediction market craze, teaming up with both Polymarket and Kalshi to bring real-time prediction odds directly to Google Search and Google Finance. According to the announcement, users will find changing odds from market exchanges when searching for future events, with the company claiming this will enable it to “harness the wisdom of the crowds.” 

Newest NWSL franchise Boston Legacy Football Club announced Thursday that USC basketball star JuJu Watkins has joined its investor group, making her the first college athlete to directly invest in a professional women’s sports team. Watkins has already had a storied college career, setting the national freshman scoring record and earning multiple major awards, including the Naismith, Wooden, and AP Player of the Year honors as a sophomore. The club, set to begin play in 2026, boasts a high-profile investor lineup that includes Aly Raisman, Aliyah Boston, and Caleb Williams.

Sexyy Red is joining Gunna for Rolling Loud‘s return to Australia in March of next year, with a full lineup expected to be announced soon. This is the festival’s first time back in Australia since 2019, featuring performances from FuturePlayboi CartiRae SremmurdTyga, and more. Rolling Loud Australia 2026 will feature two separate one-day events in Sydney (March 7) and Melbourne (March 8).

The NWSL has launched its first-ever advisory board, bringing together investors, cultural figures, and soccer icons to help further drive the league’s growth and cultural impact. Led by commissioner Jessica Berman, the board includes Chris Paul, Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain, Sabrina Ionescu, Elizabeth Banks, Brittany Mahomes, Sue Bird, Eli Manning, Magic Johnson, and Alex Morgan — all current investors in NWSL clubs. Starting in 2026, the board will meet twice a year to explore new opportunities, with the inaugural summit set to be programmed in collaboration with Boardroom.

The ATP has partnered with Spotify for a global content collaboration designed to engage existing fans and attract new audiences through bespoke programming and behind-the-scenes access. Launching ahead of the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, the partnership will include original tennis content on Spotify, including a documentary about the Finals debuting in December. Running through the 2026 season, the collab will examine the connection between tennis and culture by highlighting players, tournaments, and significant moments from the ATP Tour.

The NFL will play its first-ever game in Spain on Nov. 16, when the Washington Commanders face the Miami Dolphins at Madrid’s Bernabéu Stadium. The event will also feature a major music moment, as Argentine DJ Bizarrap and Puerto Rican icon Daddy Yankee perform their new collaboration, “BZRP Music Sessions #0/66,” live for the first time during the halftime show. Bizarrap will also perform several of his hits, while the pregame ceremonies will include Spain’s national anthem by the Madrid Marine Infantry Group Band and the U.S. anthem sung by Madrid-based vocalist Karina Pasian.

Fans got the first look at Michael Jackson‘s nephew, Jaafar, portraying his late uncle in a teaser trailer dropped Thursday for the upcoming biopic, Michael. The Lionsgate movie, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is set to hit theaters on April 24, 2026, after numerous release delays. The cast includes Colman Domingo as Jackson’s father, Joe, and Nia Long as his mother, Katherine, while Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Kat Graham, Larenz Tate, and Derek Luke round out the cast.

Snap‘s stock jumped over 9% on Thursday on the heels of announcing a $400 million deal with Perplexity AI. As part of the new deal, Snap will integrate Perplexity’s AI-powered search engine directly into its Snapchat app. Perplexity is expected to pay Snap “through a combination of cash and equity” over the next year, with revenue expected as soon as 2026. Snap also recently reported its third-quarter earnings, which beat analysts’ revenue expectations.
