Patrick Mahomes remains the NFL’s highest-paid player, projected to earn $88.8 million in 2026 between salary and off-field income. Josh Allen ($73M) and Jared Goff ($60M) follow, while Baker Mayfield jumps to No. 4 at $59 million after signing a $165 million extension. Quarterbacks dominate the list, accounting for 17 of the NFL’s 20 highest earners and all 15 of the top spots, with Micah Parsons, Travis Kelce, and Charles Cross as the only non-QBs. Overall, the group is projected to make $1.07 billion this season.

Kacey Musgraves will honor the late Dolly Parton at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, performing in tribute to her longtime friend. Parton died on Aug. 25 at age 80. Musgraves, a three-time VMA winner and this year’s Best Country nominee for “Dry Spell,” has previously performed alongside Parton at the Grammys and CMA Awards. The VMAs will also feature a tribute to George Michael, while Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard Award.

Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf is teaming up with L.A.B. Golf on a limited-edition collection featuring custom VZN.1i and OZ.1i putters, plus co-branded headcovers and greenside accessories. The putters come in a black, silver, and red colorway with custom UGT components. A portion of proceeds from each putter sold will support the UNDERRATED Golf Tour, Curry’s initiative focused on making golf more accessible to young athletes.

Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s documentary on Elizabeth Holmes dropped a full trailer on Wednesday. You Can See Everything, made in secret over four years, gives the convicted Theranos founder a platform to tell her side of the story. The film explores Holmes’ rise and the collapse of her $9 billion company. It premieres at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 30 before hitting theaters on Oct. 16.

YouTube is extending its partnership with Coachella, securing exclusive livestream rights through 2030. The deal will carry the platform into its 15th consecutive year streaming the event in 2027, with coverage spanning all stages and both weekends. YouTube has increasingly turned its Coachella coverage into a global content hub, adding features such as multi-view and creator access. The renewed deal keeps one of music’s biggest festivals firmly in YouTube’s streaming lineup.

The NBA’s 2027 games in Paris and Manchester are officially sold out after approximately 1 million fans registered for tickets, the highest demand ever recorded for an NBA game in Europe. Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans will face Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at Paris’ Accor Arena on Jan. 14 before meeting again at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Jan. 17. Both regular-season games will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.

Outkast is suing Oakland rapper-producer Ovrkast over his stage name, alleging trademark infringement, unfair competition, and breach of contract. In a lawsuit filed in Georgia, the duo claims Ovrkast’s name is “nearly identical” to Outkast and could confuse the public. The suit also alleges Ovrkast previously agreed to permanently change his name to Overkxst, but later backed out. Ovrkast acknowledged the lawsuit publicly, saying he has been dealing with the situation privately.

Adidas is partnering with Unrivaled on a new multi-year deal, making the brand the women’s 3-on-3 league’s official uniform and performance apparel partner. The agreement will cover on-court uniforms, off-court gear, youth programming, and a broader range of licensed merchandise, including authentic jerseys and lifestyle collections. The partnership begins with Unrivaled’s 2027 season, as the league enters its third year with eight clubs, 54 players, and a reported $650 million valuation.

Taylor Swift is adding four new songs to The Life of a Showgirl with The Encore, a deluxe edition arriving Friday. The release includes previously announced single “Patient Zero,” along with “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” Swift wrote the tracks with Max Martin and Shellback while celebrating the album’s massive debut in Sweden last year. The songs weren’t part of the original Showgirl sessions, making The Encore a post-release expansion.

Adam Driver, Miles Teller, and Scarlett Johansson star in the new official trailer for Paper Tiger, a crime drama from Neon and writer-director James Gray. Set in 1986 Queens, the film follows two brothers whose scheme pulls their family into the orbit of the Russian mafia. Gray loosely based the story on his own family’s experience in New York during that time period. After premiering at Cannes, Paper Tiger hits theaters in November.

On is making its move into golf, with the Swiss sportswear brand set to launch its first golf category in early 2027. Co-CEO Caspar Coppetti announced the expansion at the company’s investor day in Zurich, marking On’s push beyond its running roots. The move comes as On targets at least $7 billion in annual sales by 2029, with golf joining its football expansion following the brand’s recent signing of Kylian Mbappé from Nike.

Speaking of soccer stars, Neymar Jr. is expanding his partnership with Topps, making the collectibles company his exclusive partner for trading cards, stickers, and trading-card games. The multi-year deal gives Topps rights to Neymar’s name, image, and likeness, along with exclusive autographs and match- and player-worn memorabilia. Neymar will appear in upcoming releases including Topps Dynasty and Topps Definitive Collection UEFA Club Competitions.

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald, a new documentary about the late comedy legend directed by Judd Apatow. The film chronicles Macdonald’s career through archival footage and interviews, including appearances with David Letterman, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Sarah Silverman, and others. The trailer also features footage from Macdonald’s final Late Show appearance. Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald premieres Oct. 16 on Netflix.
