J. Cole’s Dreamer Indie 5000 Sneaker Is Finally Dropping
J. Cole’s Indie 5000 sneaker is finally hitting the market. After five years of independent design and development with a team of Italian designers, the rapper’s Dreamer shoe is set to debut on Wednesday in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The old-school basketball-inspired silhouette features layered construction, oversized tooling, and Dreamer branding. Cole first teased the shoe during his Puma era, but the Indie 5000 marks his first fully independent footwear release.

VICE TV is putting six of sports’ most polarizing stars under the microscope with Everybody Hates, a six-part documentary anthology premiering on Oct. 27. The series examines the stories behind Jake Paul, Aaron Rodgers, Caitlin Clark, Michael Vick, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Floyd Mayweather Jr., exploring how their careers, personalities, and controversies turned them into cultural lightning rods. New episodes will air weekly through Dec. 1.
Tupac’s Murder Trial to Be Explored in New Documentary
A new documentary will take viewers inside the trial of the man convicted in Tupac Shakur’s murder. Propagate Content and Passion Pictures are developing a feature doc centered on Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who was found guilty of orchestrating Tupac’s 1996 killing. Directed by Marian Mohamed, the film will draw from the Las Vegas courtroom proceedings, interviews with Shakur’s family, and never-before-seen footage and photos. Sky Documentaries and NOW will release it in 2027.

Kawhi Leonard Inks $115M Extension With Raptors
Kawhi Leonard has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $115 million extension with the Toronto Raptors, keeping the two-time NBA champion with the franchise through the 2028-29 season, including a player option. Leonard, 35, returned to Toronto this summer after six seasons with the Clippers, where he averaged a career-high 27.9 points last season. The deal gives Leonard three years and $165 million remaining with the Raptors.

Apple Music Builds a New Home for Live Music in London
Apple Music has opened a new 600-capacity live music venue inside London’s Battersea Power Station. Apple Music Hall is built for intimate performances with arena-level production capabilities, including a 48-speaker Spatial Audio system, professional recording studios, and multicamera video infrastructure. Artists can leave a single show with a finished Spatial Audio recording, broadcast-ready mix, and video. Apple also opened new London studios for Apple Music Radio at the same location.
Anthropic Debuts Claude Opus 5.5 With Bigger Gains, Lower Costs
Anthropic is rolling out Claude Opus 5.5, its latest flagship AI model, with gains in coding, computer use, and knowledge work while costing 40% less to run than Opus 5. The company says the model also posts its strongest safety results yet, including greater resistance to prompt injection. DoorDash Reaches $131.5M Settlement With NYC Over Worker Pay
DoorDash will pay $131.5 million to settle a New York City investigation into courier pay. The agreement includes more than $83 million tied to a dispute over how workers’ waiting time should be compensated, plus $16.7 million in city fines. About 264,000 couriers are set to receive payments, including 209,000 over missing or late wages. DoorDash says every affected worker will receive at least $10, with the median payment expected to be about $48.
