SKIMS has launched a new menswear campaign featuring Post Malone, showcasing its latest collection of everyday essentials. Shot on a Utah ranch, the campaign highlights the debut of SKIMS’ heavyweight fleece alongside relaxed silhouettes like joggers, hoodies, and tees. The collection also introduces Realtree camouflage prints and new lounge pieces, combining rugged style with SKIMS’ signature fit and functionality. The full line drops on Thursday, Aug. 21.

The NFL has partnered with women-led sports media brand The GIST to connect with Gen Z and millennial women through fresh, interactive content. The collaboration includes weekly free-to-play games, playoff brackets, and original content at major NFL events like the Super Bowl and draft. This partnership supports the NFL’s push to engage younger, more diverse fans and deepen digital fan interaction.

Nexstar Media Group announced Tuesday it will acquire TEGNA Inc. in a $6.2 billion all-cash deal at $22.00 per share, a 31% premium over TEGNA’s recent stock price. Pending regulatory approval, the merger will create a major local media powerhouse, enhancing the delivery of trusted local news and expanding advertising offerings across both broadcast and digital platforms.

ESPN is launching a new vertical short-form video feed in its app, building on its success with over 50 million TikTok followers. The feed will include highlights, reactions, and user-generated content, along with a personalized daily version of SportsCenter called SC For You, debuting in beta on Thursday. Initially available to ESPN Unlimited and cable subscribers, the feature may evolve with AI personalization and future user-uploaded content.

Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is returning to broadcast TV with a new multi-camera comedy at CBS starring Mike Epps. The project marks a reunion for Barris and Epps, who worked together on the 2023 film You People. Co-produced by BET Studios and CBS Studios, the show follows two estranged brothers who reunite to sell their late grandmother’s house, only to find her caretaker co-owns it and refuses to sell, forcing them to live together.

Streaming hit a record high in July, making up 47.3% of all TV screen viewing, according to Nielsen. YouTube (13.4%), Netflix (8.8%), and the Roku Channel (2.8%) all reached new market share highs, while traditional broadcast and cable declined during the summer lull. Squid Game led all shows with 5.4 billion minutes watched, followed closely by Peacock’s Love Island USA at 5.3 billion. Broadcast TV fell to 18.4% of total viewing, though news surged 28%, with ABC’s World News Tonight dominating the top broadcast titles.

CBS and Dick Clark Productions have signed a five-year deal to broadcast the American Music Awards (AMAs) through 2030, starting with the May 2026 show live from Las Vegas. The AMAs will also stream live on Paramount+. This follows a successful 2025 broadcast that drew over 10 million viewers, the show’s largest audience since 2019. Meanwhile, the Grammy Awards will leave CBS after 2026 and move to Disney platforms beginning in 2027 under a 10-year deal.

ESPN has officially ended its planned docuseries on Colin Kaepernick, directed by Spike Lee, due to “creative differences.” The project, announced in 2020 and in production since 2022, aimed to tell Kaepernick’s story in a multi-part, first-person format. Disagreements reportedly arose over whether the series should center on Kaepernick’s personal journey or broader social justice themes. ESPN, Kaepernick, and Lee released a joint statement confirming the project’s cancellation and expressing appreciation for the work done. Lee also said he has no plans to shop the project elsewhere.

Cynthia Erivo will receive the 18th annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The Emmy, Grammy, and Tony winner — and star of Wicked and its upcoming sequel — will be honored at a black-tie fundraiser dinner on Dec. 4. The event supports the festival’s year-round educational programs. Erivo joins a prestigious list of past honorees, including Ryan Gosling, Michelle Yeoh, and Robert De Niro. Wicked: For Good premieres just weeks earlier on Nov. 21.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools has partnered with Adidas in a landmark, multi-year deal. Adidas will provide uniforms and gear for all student-athletes from 41 high schools in the Greater Miami Athletic Conference. The company also secured naming rights to Traz Powell Stadium, now called Adidas Field. While exact savings for the district are unclear, schools will no longer need to fund basic sports gear themselves, with Adidas offering discounted equipment, making the deal a major benefit for the district.

Nvidia is reportedly developing a new AI chip for China, tentatively named the B30A, which is expected to be more powerful than its current H20 chip. According to Reuters, the chip will be based on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, with sample units possibly reaching Chinese clients as early as next month. Nvidia stated that all its products comply with government regulations and are intended solely for commercial use.
