Eminem to Drop 'The Death of Slim Shady' Album on July 12

Marshall Mathers has a busy summer ahead. Following the rollout of his nostalgic single, “Houdini,” Eminem has put pen to the calendar by announcing July 12 as the drop date for his next and perhaps final album. The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is set to have features from Big Sean and production by Dr. Dre.

BET CEO Scott Mills Eyes Purchase of Network from Paramount

Paramount Global is reportedly in discussions to sell BET to a group of buyers that includes current BET CEO Scott Mills for up to $1.7 billion. The group also includes Chinh Chu, the founder of private equity firm CC Capital, according to Bloomberg. This isn’t the first time Mills and Co. have been rumored to buy BET, but after Paramount’s recent merger talks with Skydance fell through, the two sides got back to the negotiating table. Paramount’s stock closed Tuesday up 5.7% after the news came out.

A'ja Wilson Headlines New Nike Campaign

Reigning WNBA champion and signature athlete A’ja Wilson is the subject of a new Nike campaign that focuses on her quest for a three-peat. On Tuesday, Nike Basketball uploaded a digital short set in the concession stands cut to A’ja highlights with the tagline, “Glad You Could Join Us.” This clip comes on the heels of Wilson’s signature logo unveiling and her May cover story by Boardroom’s Vinciane Ngomsi.

CNBC Sport Set to Tackle Business Side of Athletics

NBCUniversal is bullish on franchise players and franchise valuations. Ahead of the Summer Olympics and already hosting Sunday Night Football, NASCAR, and WWE, the Peacock portfolio will add to its audience with the launch of CNBC Sport, a vertical set to cover the business and culture of sports. CNBC will also continue its path in said space by partnering with Boardroom this September for the second annual Game Plan Summit in Los Angeles.

Ronnie Fieg Reveals KITH Malibu Location

New York-owned and operated fashion boutique KITH is gaining ground out west. Tuesday morning, founder Ronnie Fieg shared a video tour of the new flagship store in Malibu, complete with a KITH Treats ice cream bar and apparel offerings for men, women, and kids. Look for the new shop on Civic Center Way to open its doors at 11 a.m. on the Fourth of July.

'The Bear' Breaks Numerous Hulu Streaming Records

Early numbers for Season 3 of FX’s The Bear are strong. Disney reported that the premiere hit 5.4 million views in only four days of streaming. According to Variety, that marks Hulu‘s high for an FX premiere and a scripted series premiere. Previously, The Bear viewership grew 70% in its second season with Season 3 already upping the ante by another 24%.
