Allyson Felix, Serena Williams, Mike Krzyzewski, and Gabby Douglas headline the 2025 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame class that was unveiled on Tuesday. Joining them are fellow Olympians Bode Miller, Kerri Walsh Jennings, Anita DeFrantz, and Flo Hyman, while Susan Hagel, Marla Runyan, and Steve Cash represent the Paralympians. Phil Knight was also selected for the class as a special contributor.
André 3000 Uses Met Gala to Drop Surprise Piano Album
André 3000 made quite the entrance with his ensemble at last night’s Met Gala, showing up to fashion’s biggest event with a grand piano strapped to his back. But the look also doubled as a surprise announcement for his latest album drop, 7 piano sketches. Described as “improvisations,” André 3000 adds that the 16-minute project was recorded with his iPhone almost a decade before his 2023 alternative jazz instrumental album, New Blue Sun.
DoorDash Spends $5B Following Earnings Report
DoorDash is expanding its portfolio with two billion-dollar acquisitions announced Tuesday, confirming it has agreed to acquire British food delivery service Deliveroo and SevenRooms, a platform used by hotels and restaurants to manage reservations. The Deliveroo deal is worth roughly £2.9 billion ($3.9 billion), while the SevenRooms all-cash acquisition comes in at $1.2 billion. DoorDash additionally reported first-quarter earnings on Tuesday that missed analysts’ revenue expectations.
Sue Bird Teams Up with Vox Media to Launch New Women’s Hoops Podcast
Sue Bird and Togethxr are teaming up with Vox Media on a new weekly women’s basketball show, scheduled to launch on May 16 across major platforms ahead of the start of the WNBA season. Called Bird’s Eye View, the show will see Bird offering listeners an insider’s view on women’s hoops, with elevated analysis, reaction to breaking news, and interviews with players, coaches, and more. In other news, Bird will reportedly be named managing director of the U.S. women’s basketball team on Thursday.
Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Doechii Set to Headline Austin City Limits Festival
Austin City Limits revealed an A-list lineup for its 2025 festival on Tuesday, with Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Doja Cat, Luke Combs, The Strokes, John Summit, and Doechii all booked to headline the event. Scheduled for the first two weekends in October at Zilker Park in Austin, other artists lending their talents are T-Pain, Empire of the Sun, and Maren Morris.

TikTok announced two new Pulse Suite offerings — Pulse Core and Pulse Premiere — ahead of its NewFronts presentation to potential ad buyers on Tuesday. Pulse Core places ads next to the top user-generated videos by category, while Pulse Premiere combines promos with premium publisher content. Additionally, Warner Bros., Formula 1, and Red Bull Media have joined TikTok’s list of publishing partners that already includes Condé Nast, Disney, MLS, NFL, Paramount, and more.

CC Sabathia, Dexter Fowler, Prince Fielder, and more headline the rosters for this year’s MLB East-West Classic. MLB announced the rosters for the tribute to the Negro Leagues’ All-Star Games on Tuesday, which would’ve been Willie Mays‘ 94th birthday. The game will take place on June 19 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. MLB Network will be on-site to capture the scenes for an all-access program airing on June 29.
George Clooney’s ‘Good Night, And Good Luck’ Continues to Make Broadway History
Not only has Good Night, and Good Luck broken its own all-time record for highest-earning play in Broadway history, but it is now the first play to surpass a $4 million total in a single week, raking in $4,003,482 over eight performances. Written by George Clooney and Grant Heslov and directed by David Cromer, the play picked up five Tony Award nominations, including Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for Clooney.
Reebok Boosts Basketball Division with New Leadership
Reebok announced the appointment of Jide Osifeso as the brand’s new Head of Basketball on Tuesday, saying his “visionary approach, melding culture, style, and sport, will help shape the brand’s return to the basketball world in innovative ways.” Osifeso will oversee all facets of the basketball division, with an emphasis on creative direction. This includes continuing to maximize collaboration opportunities like the one between Reebok and Hymne, a streetwear label founded by Osifeso in 2016.
‘106 & Park’ to Celebrate 25th Anniversary at 2025 BET Awards
BET is marking the quarter-century anniversary of 106 & Park with a host reunion and a number of special performances during the 2025 BET Awards on June 9. Confirmed emcees include AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J, while millennial favorite Bow Wow — a 106 & Park host himself for a brief time — is set to take the stage. B2K, Mya, Amerie, Jim Jones, and T.I. are also scheduled to perform.
