Cam Newton to Open Private Social Club in Latest Business Venture
Cam Newton became a household name because of his quarterback talents, but he is also cementing himself as a businessman. The 2015 NFL MVP said he will be opening a private, membership-only social club this year, Newton exclusively revealed to Boardroom. Named Cosa Nostra, he says he got the inspiration for the moniker from the mob. “I’m a big fan of drug dealers. They’re the best businessmen in the world,” Newton said. “Now, was it corrupt? Yeah, but I love their business mindset. I’ll be opening that at some point in 2024.” The former Carolina Panthers star is also co-owner of Fellaship, a cigar bar in downtown Atlanta that’s a short walk from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Las Vegas Sphere Brings in $168M During Most Recent Quarter
Sphere Entertainment shared its financials from its first full quarter as a public company, including the first look at how Las Vegas’s newest entertainment venue — The Sphere — has done since opening in September 2023. Separating the profit made from MSG Networks, also owned by Sphere Entertainment, The Sphere earned a total of $168 million in its first full three-month span of operation. While much of that could be attributed to advertising and the months-long U2 residency, those factors contributed to “just” $19 million and $55 million, respectively. The largest portion of profit — $93 million, to be exact — came from the Sphere Experience. The multi-sensory program grossed more than $1 million in average sales for daily passes. It’s safe to say James Dolan’s $2.3 billion project is slowly becoming the place to visit when you’re in Sin City.
