Guy Oseary Signs NFT Phenomenon World of Women

The legendary music manager has brought on the collection that sold more than $15 million worth of NFTs in the last week alone.

The World of Women universe is about to get a whole lot bigger.

The NFT collection featuring 10,000 unique artworks of women in the spirit of diversity, inclusion, and representation has taken off of late, garnering the attention of tech investor and legendary music manager Guy Oseary. He’s adding WoW as a client for representation, alongside a star-studded list that includes Madonna, U2, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and, as of October, Bored Ape Yacht Club.

As part of a partnership with the DCA agency, World of Women will now have the chance to explore wide-ranging and lucrative opportunities in TV, movies, gaming, music, and consumer products. It’s a fast and meteoric rise for one of Boardroom’s top NFTs of 2021, which artist Yam Karkai launched in July. It’s had more than $150 million in trading volume since then, including more than $15 million in the last week alone.

While a Gary Vaynerchuk tweet may have put WoW more squarely on the map in late July, it’s received a ton of celebrity interest since then. Influential owners of these colorful and eclectic NFTs include Reese Witherspoon, Eva Longoria, MC Hammer, Shonda Rimes, Napheesa Collier, and Boardroom host Ros Gold-Onwude. Last week, YouTube viral star and occasional boxing moonlighter Logan Paul sold Woman #6025 for $763,600, one of the 10 largest sales of any NFT over the previous seven days.

WoW has maintained a ton of momentum on its own, with the average NFT sale price rising from $8,110 just three months ago to $14,292 as of Tuesday night. Oseary’s Sound Ventures VC firm, a partnership with Ashton Kutcher, has invested in everything from Uber, Airbnb, and Spotify to Dapper Labs and OpenSea. Now Oseary is betting on World of Women and its female-led NFT to be Web3‘s next blockbuster sensation.
