Darius Rucker and Hit-Boy will join Tagovailoa on stage at the EA Sports Madden Bowl after-party called The 99 Club.
EA Sports will team up with the NFLPA for a Madden Bowl after-party called The 99 Club on Feb. 8 at House of Blues Las Vegas, combining the best of music and football, the company announced Thursday.
Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will host the event, with a performance by Grammy Award-winning musician Darius Rucker and an appearance from Grammy Award-winning producer and rapper Hit-Boy.
“I’m starting the offseason by trying to increase my overall next season any way I can,” Tagovailoa, rated an 88 in Madden 24, said. “No doubt my hosting skills will earn me a 99 rating, for sure.”
A diehard Dolphins fan, Rucker said he’s especially excited to perform in front of his QB.
“I’m going to give an electrifying set,” he said, “and I’m hoping Tua may join me to show off his impressive guitar skills as well.”
Hit-Boy produced the Madden 24 soundtrack, which features Jack Harlow, IDK, Polo G, and BIA among its 36 songs. Rucker’s 99 Club performance will come after Madden Bowl’s musical lineup of BRELAND, Killer Mike, Big Boi, and Green Day as one of the many premier events happening in Las Vegas leading into Super Bowl LVIII.
“The NFL players who lay it all on the line each Sunday make our game what it is. To have the opportunity to celebrate them ahead of the biggest game of the year is awesome,” Anthony Stevenson, EA Ventures Marketing’s senior vice president, said, “and the NFLPA is the perfect partner to bring it to life.”
