PGA TOUR Officially Crowns Tiger Woods as 2021 PIP Champion

Tiger Woods has amassed an endless stream of titles during his extended career. The most recent in that list? Inaugural champion of the Tour’s Player Impact Program, which combines a number of metrics including internet searches, sponsorships, and social media followings. Phil Mickelson had previously claimed victory; however, the Tour officially released the results on Wednesday, deeming Woods the victor and recipient of the $8 million prize. Staying true to his title, Woods lightly chirped Mickelson on Twitter, resurfacing the December tweet in which he pronounced himself the winner with the caption: “Whoops.”

Fanatics Valuation Skyrockets to $27B Following Most Recent Funding Round

Fanatics has had a wild few years of growth. And on Wednesday, the company announced that its most recent fundraising round increased its valuation by 50% from the previous year. The recent fundraising efforts attracted big names in the financial industry including BlackRock and Michael Dell’s MSD Capital and brought in a total of $1.5 billion to vault Fanatics’ valuation to $27B.

Dominic Fike’s Acoustic Song from Euphoria Finale Gets Official Release

Everything about HBO’s Euphoria is a certified smash. Not only has it become the most-ever tweeted about show in history, but it drew the second-highest number of viewers to the platform, putting it only behind the Game of Thrones finale. In the Season two closer, Elliot, played by Dominic Fike, played a 3:28 acoustic song that had fans rolling their eyes and swooning simultaneously. An official – and slightly shorter – version of the song will be released on streaming platforms this Friday.

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions Inks Two Series Deal with History Channel

Peyton Manning is continuing his full-court press into the world of entertainment. The two-time Super Bowl champion announced that his company, Omaha Productions, inked a two-series deal with the History Channel. The first show, The Einstein Challenge, will position world-class experts to explain highly specific topics to a panel of children. Manning will host History’s Greatest of All-Time, which will countdown the greatest events across a number of different categories.

The game of golf is getting increasingly hip these days. And in its newest innovation, Turner Sports introduced the second season of its mobile NFT game, Blocklete Golf. Built on Dapper LabsFlow blockchain, the game enables each player to select a unique NFT and compete head-to-head. The game is currently available on iOS and Android platforms. 

Fan Controlled Football’s Wild Aces Get All-Star Owners

Fan controlled football’s reigning champions, the Wild Aces announced on Wednesday that it has a new squad joining its ownership group.Included in the new owners are Instagram comedian Drew “Druski” Desbordes, LA Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, and TV host and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. This is not Lindsay and Ekeler’s first dance with FCF, as they were previously invested in the league, but Druski announced that he is “pumped” to be joining the team.
