Coming off of a difficult loss to Miami on Thursday, Lamar Jackson headed back to Louisville to receive the honor of a lifetime. The Cardinals rolled out the red carpet for their former quarterback, retiring his No. 8 jersey and renaming the road to the stadium Lamar Jackson Way. The Heisman winner was emotional as he watched the placard that hangs over the stadium featuring his name be revealed. Louisville blew out Syracuse 41-3 to commemorate Lamar Jackson Day.

Drew Timme proved why he was the runaway preseason pick for player of the year in Gonzaga’s convincing win over Texas on Saturday. The Texas native put up 37 points as the Bulldogs beat the Longhorns 86-74.

Murray, Hopkins, and Kamara Expected to Sit in Week 10
The NFL season is over the halfway mark – and many teams will be working without some of their star players this weekend. Yesterday, the Rams announced that receiver Robert Woods is likely to miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in practice on Friday. The Saints’ Alvin Kamara will sit with a knee injury. And, in Arizona, Kyler Murray (ankle) and DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) are both expected to miss their second consecutive games. Ben Roethlisberger, Nick Chubb, and Demetric Felton are among those ruled out due to COVID-19 protocols.

Kansas Stuns Texas in OT, 57-56
The Jayhawks staged one of the NCAA football season’s greatest upsets, beating the Longhorns 57-56 in overtime. Kansas QB Jalon Daniels hit fullback Jared Casey for a two-point conversion to seal the win. Going into Saturday’s Big 12 matchup, Kansas had lost 56 straight conference road games and were 31 point underdogs.
Maple Leafs Net Last-second Win Against Sabres, 5-4
Morgan Rielly posted his first goal of the season with just 10 seconds left in Saturday’s matchup against the Sabres. The defenceman’s shot hit the crossbar and improbably bounced backward off the ice to lift Toronto over Buffalo, 5-4.
