Nvidia, GM Strike Deal to Advance Self-Driving Vehicles
During Nvidia’s GTC event, the chipmaker announced an extended strategic collaboration with General Motors in which the car company will develop custom artificial intelligence systems using Nvidia compute platforms for optimizing GM’s next-gen self-driving vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems, and factories. GM has been testing Nvidia’s Omniverse technology since at least 2022, as well as using the company’s graphics processing units for training AI models across sectors.
Chiney Ogwumike’s New Women-Focused Production Company Leading WNBA Scripted Series
The first-ever scripted series based on the WNBA coming to Peacock. Called The W, the show is the brainchild of popular media personality and former WNBA player Chiney Ogwumike, who is debuting the program through her new women-focused production company, Victorious. Ogwumike is partnering with the creators of Netflix’s GLOW, Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive, on the project inspired by Ogwumike‘s relationship with her agent and Victorious co-founder Allison Galer.
Doechii, Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, The Creator to Headline Lollapalooza 2025
Lollapalooza released the official lineup for this summer’s music festival on Tuesday, and star-studded headliners include Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, The Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, A$AP Rocky, Gracie Abrams, and Doechii. The four-day affair begins Thursday, July 31, and ends Sunday, Aug. 3, at Chicago’s Grant Park. Presale tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m CT..
Google Makes Largest Acquisition Ever, Acquires Wiz for $32B
Making it the largest deal in the tech firm’s history, Google announced Tuesday it’s acquired cybersecurity startup Wiz for $32 billion. If regulators approve the all-cash deal, Wiz will join Google Cloud, which profited more than $40 billion last year. Together, both companies plan to greatly improve how security is designed, operated, and automated, as well as lower consumers’ cost of implementing and managing security functions.
Mookie Betts Buys First Franchise in New World Bowling League
Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts is an owner of the first franchise of the new World Bowling League. Betts is purchasing the team with Cam Lewis, his business partner with The One Marketing Group, naming the inaugural squad Team OMG. An avid bowler himself, Betts once bowled the perfect 300 score the morning after his 30th birthday party in 2022.
Adam Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Hits Theaters in July
The first official trailer for the long-awaited Happy Gilmore sequel has arrived. Netflix dropped the 90-second video Tuesday, depicting Adam Sandler in the titular role, showing some hesitation about competing against stars on the PGA Tour. Releasing nationwide on July 25, the film also stars original Happy Gilmore cast members Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller, in addition to new faces like Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, and pro golfers John Daly, Scottie Scheffler, and Rory McIlroy.
Jacquemus to Design First Class Pajamas for Air France
Jacquemus is the latest luxury brand to enter the airline space, teaming up with Air France to design pajamas for travelers. Pieces were unveiled in Paris on Tuesday and are available exclusively for its La Première class. The PJ sets arrive in four sizes, two necklines, and red and blue variants representing the French aesthetic.
San Francisco Giants Sell Ownership Stake to PE Group Sixth Street
According to a statement released Tuesday, San Francisco Giants president Larry Baer confirmed private equity group Sixth Street has purchased a stake in the MLB club. Although he didn’t disclose how much, multiple outlets report that it is 10%. Per the New York Times, the Giants plan to use Sixth Street’s investment to help cover upgrades to Oracle Park and other facilities as well as fund a real estate development near the stadium.
Aflac, TOGETHXR Team Up on ‘Raise The Bar’ Initiative Ahead of March Madness
Aflac and TOGETHXR are joining forces on a new pledge to encourage bars nationwide to broadcast the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on at least 50% of their TVs from March 17-April 6. The “Raise The Bar” pledge is accompanied by an interactive digital map highlighting spots, making this a reality. So far, 64 bars have agreed to participate.

Continuing the year-long festivities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will open a new immersive exhibit commemorating the program’s musical influence.
