TikTok Counters Impending Ban, Estimates $1.3B Hit to Creator Economy

TikTok’s temporary order request would allow the Supreme Court more time to consider the law, which states the nationwide ban will commence on Jan. 19, 2025, unless the ByteDance company finds a new owner. The Department of Justice, which plans on filing a formal motion as soon as Wednesday, has urged the federal court to deny the request before that.
