T-Pain Joins Jack in the Box for Fortnite Foray

The fast-food chain’s latest celebrity collab turns its late-night menu into power-ups inside a fully customized Fortnite experience, complete with a live-streamed battle on June 26.

Jack in the Box is leveling up its gaming ambitions, and it’s bringing T-Pain along for the ride.

The quick-service food brand announced the launch of Jack Zone Wars, a custom Fortnite world that pairs its signature late-night menu with the renowned entertainer, marking the chain’s most significant foray into gaming yet. This latest partnership builds on Jack in the Box’s growing list of celebrity tie-ins, following meal deal collaborations with Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg.

Jack in the Box’s Fortnite collaboration officially dropped Friday, June 6. At the center of the campaign is T-Pain’s new Munchie Meal, which just landed on Jack in the Box menus nationwide. To celebrate, the chart-topping musician, content creator, and gamer is making his Fortnite debut alongside Jack Box, the brand’s mascot, inside a fully customized Fortnite world.

“T-Pain is a true multi-hyphenate — an innovator who brings originality and personality to everything he touches, from music to gaming to content creation,” Sheena Dougher, Vice President of Marketing at Jack in the Box, told Boardroom.

Set on T-Pain’s oversized gamer’s desk, Jack Zone Wars shrinks players into a larger-than-life battlefield where monitors, soda cans, and controllers become obstacles. Munchie Meal items serve as in-game power-ups: tacos restore health, stuffed cookies offer super speed, curly fries give high jumps, and the Burg-R-Tater Melt delivers double pump damage, as Jack in the Box detailed. Through the Jack app, players can unlock T-Pain’s exclusive loadout, giving them extra damage and mythic weapons. The collab culminates in a live-streamed Fortnite event on June 26, where T-Pain will host a real-time showdown on Fortnite from his pro gaming studio, inviting fans to squad up and compete.

Jack in the Box previously dipped into Fortnite with Jack’s CEO Minigames. According to Dougher, strong fan engagement from that first world paved the way for this expanded activation. The company saw an opportunity to create a Fortnite experience that fully embodied Jack’s offbeat personality, with T-Pain as the perfect partner to take it to the next level.

The move also reflects Jack in the Box’s long-term investment in gaming culture. The company has steadily built credibility in the space dating back to 2017, when it became one of the first quick-service restaurant brands to sponsor esports organizations, including Team Envy and the Dallas Fuel. In 2023, the brand also introduced Gamer Jack, its official Twitch streamer and gaming ambassador. Beyond the Fortnite world itself, the company sees activations like Jack Zone Wars as a new way to drive digital loyalty and deepen customer relationships.

“This activation represents the evolution of modern loyalty programs — moving beyond traditional points-based systems to create experiential touchpoints that build emotional connections with our brand,” Dougher said. “When customers earn rewards through gameplay or exclusive T-Pain content, they’re participating in memorable brand moments that drive long-term engagement and advocacy.”
