The 2022-23 campaign for Manchester City was one to remember. It was a different look for the club, as it was the first time since 2012-13 it was playing without former captain Fernandinho and the first time since 2014-15 without former forward Raheem Sterling.

But as some players exited, others came in, namely star striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian immediately found success with Manchester City, scoring 52 goals in his first 53 games. He would go on to win multiple awards in the process, including the European Golden Shoe.

While Haaland is the engine, this was hardly a one-man show. Behind a league-leading 2.47 goals per game, Manchester City won the Premier League for the third consecutive season, becoming the fifth club in English soccer history to do so. The team also completed the historic treble by winning the FA Cup and Champions League.

To celebrate, Manchester City was in New York City recently with their trophies for winning the respective leagues, showing them off at the Puma flagship store. There, Boardroom’s Gabe Oshin took in the awards, breaking down the details while also chopping it up with former Man City player Shaun Wright-Phillips.
