Kamara Makes History as Saints Outlast Seahawks, 13-10

Seattle lost its third straight on Monday night, as the New Orleans Saints kicked a 33-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining to seal the 13-10 win. Playing in only his 66th game, Kamara became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 3,000 career rushing yards and 3,000 career receiving yards. The Seahawks are 0-3 at home for the first time in nearly 30 years. The Saints improved to 4-2.

Tatum Goes Off for 41 as Celtics Beat Hornets in OT

The Celtics stung the Hornets on Monday night, dealing them their first loss of the season, 141-129 in OT. Charlotte mounted a second-half comeback, but Jaylen Brown heated up in overtime to lift Boston to the win. Jayson Tatum had a huge night with 41 points in the win.  

Brady Gives Bucs Fan Bitcoin In Exchange for 600th TD Ball

Appearing on ESPN2’s Manningcast during Monday Night Football, Tom Brady revealed he would be giving a Bitcoin to the fan who returned the football from his 600th passing touchdown. The crypto award comes in addition to an extensive package that includes one-of-a-kind memorabilia and tickets. The addition of Bitcoin bumps the value to approximately $100,000, as the current price of Bitcoin is around $62,943, resulting in a handsome payday for Bucs fan Byron Kennedy.

NHL, Players’ New Deal with Upper Deck Includes NFTs

The NHL and the players’ union have reached a long-term extension with Upper Deck that keeps the collectibles company the league’s official trading card provider for the foreseeable future and paves the way for future NFT offerings. The partnership between Upper Deck, the NHL, and NHLPA has been ongoing since the 1990-91 season.    

Griffey Jr. Joins Mariners Ownership Group

Hall of Fame outfielder and Seattle legend Ken Griffey Jr. is joining the partnership group behind the Mariners, the team announced Monday. Griffey Jr., who has been a consultant for the team since 2011, becomes the first former player in team history to own a stake in the franchise.

DraftKings, Entain Deal Falls Apart

DraftKings will no longer be making an offer to acquire European betting rival Entain, the Boston-based company confirmed via an official statement on Tuesday. The news comes after DraftKings made a $22 billion offer for the company; however, their existing deal with MGM would not be honored, putting the final nail in negotiations. 

Carli Lloyd to Play Final Game for USWNT

Decorated soccer star Carli Lloyd will play her final match for the United States women’s national team tonight against South Korea. Lloyd, who ranks second in the world for most international appearances, will have her own camera trailing her throughout the game called the “Carli-Cam” courtesy of Fox Sports Digital. 

Sue Bird, KD Join USA Basketball Board

Sue Bird and Kevin Durant were announced as the latest additions to USA Basketball’s board of directors on Monday. Bird, a five-time Olympic gold medalist, and Durant, a three-time gold medalist, join Seimone Augustus, Jennifer Azzi, and Harrison Barnes as the five athlete representatives.

Cardinals Make Marmol Youngest Manager in MLB

The St. Louis Cardinals plan to tap bench coach Oliver “Oli” Marmol as the team’s new manager, making the 35-year-old the youngest active skipper in the majors. Marmol, who was drafted by the club in 2007, has been the Cards bench coach for the last two seasons.

The Memphis Grizzlies just got a new – and very delicious – sponsor as they announced on Monday that they will be partnering with Nashville-based, black-owned business Slim and Husky’s. YES Network Adds Co-Watching Feature for Nets Games

The YES Network is launching a new “watch-together’ feature that allows fans to stream a Brooklyn Nets game on the YES app along with three friends and interact with them using video chat. The co-watching feature is considered to be among the first for a regional sports network.

NLL Brokers Viewership Deal with ESPN+

The National Lacrosse League is coming to your home, officials announced on Tuesday. While the details of the deal are still forthcoming, every game will be featured on ESPN+ or a linear stream, making it the first major broadcasting deal for the NLL.
