FTX Saga Continues, as Company Stalls Trading

FTX experienced a suspected hack as $477 million went missing from the crypto exchange. In response to the suspicious activity, the company has halted all trading as it investigates the source. In the interim, FTX has transferred all of its holdings into “cold wallets,” which enable crypto holdings offline.

The NFL Kicks off in Germany

Tom Brady and the Bucs and the Seahawks face off for NFL’s first game in Germany, where they are facing off in front of a sold-out crowd. The match-up is part of the shield’s quest for international expansion. The game kicked off at the home of Bayern München, Allianz Arena. The sold-out event hosted 66,000 fans. When the tickets went live, the site received over 770,000 simultaneous hits.

Babe Ruth Glove Catches $1.53M at Auction

Saturday marked the 19th annual auction to raise funds for the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. This year’s event featured items from some of the biggest names in the sport. However, the night’s biggest lot was a glove personally donated by the Great Bambino to the Saint Louis Browns Jimmy Austin. At the final gavel, the glove brought in $1.53 million. Reflecting on the night’s event, David Hunt, the evening’s organizer, said, “This monumental glove is truly [one] of the most historic pieces of its medium to have ever been offered at public auction.”

Drake Posts Second No. 1 Album of the Year with "Her Loss"

Kevin Durant declared Her Loss as his album of the year on this week’s episode of The ETCs. According to Hits Daily Double, the Drake and 21 Savage collab album sold 411K copies, making it the third biggest release of the year – behind Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. Midnights took the second position with an impressive 302k copies, down 10% from last week.
