Ariana Grande followed up her cryptic Instagram post from Wednesday with a full tour announcement, hitting the road next year in support of her latest project, Eternal Sunshine. The jaunt begins June 6 in Oakland, making North American stops in Austin and Atlanta before ending with five shows in London in August. Presales for U.S. and Canadian dates begin Sept. 9, and London presales start Sept. 16, with fans needing to sign up on her website by Sept. 7. This marks her first tour since 2019’s Sweetener World Tour.

Production has begun in the U.K. on Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling. Variety confirmed Thursday that Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings have all joined the star-studded cast. Written by Jonathan Tropper, the film will feature an entirely original story set in a previously unexplored era of the Star Wars universe.

The NFL and Nike have unveiled eight new team uniforms for the 2025 season as part of their “Rivalries” series, which features city-specific designs that highlight historic team rivalries. Franchises included are the Jets, Patriots, Cardinals, Seahawks, Dolphins, Bills, Rams, and 49ers. The uniforms will debut on the field this season and remain in rotation for three years. Rivalries gear goes on sale starting Sept. 10 on Nike, NFL, Fanatics, Riddell, and New Era websites. 

The U.S. economy grew at a 3.3% annualized rate in Q2, slightly above the earlier estimate of 3%. This improvement was driven by a significant boost in trade and stronger business investment, which rose 5.7%, with notable gains in transportation equipment and intellectual property. The rise in intellectual property products marked the strongest growth in that category in four years.

Comcast NBCUniversal and Amazon have finalized broad distribution agreements covering Prime Video, Peacock, Fire TV, and Xfinity X1. As part of the deal, Peacock’s ad-free Premium Plus tier will now be available through Prime Video for $16.99/month or $169.99/year. Peacock will also remain available on Fire TV as a direct-to-consumer app. Additionally, existing agreements for Universal film rentals on Prime Video and Prime Video’s presence on Xfinity X1 have been renewed.

Stanley 1913 announced a multi-year partnership with Caitlin Clark on Thursday, kicking off the collab with a limited-edition collection featuring multiple hydration products designed with Clark’s input. Fans will find customized versions of Stanley’s Quencher ProTour, IceFlow Flip Straw Bottle, and Jug in Clark’s favorite colors with unique detailing. The collection launches on Sept. 3 and will be available at select retailers throughout the month.

ESPN has removed Doris Burke from its NBA Finals broadcast team and promoted Tim Legler to the top analyst role, the network confirmed to The Athletic. Legler will now join Mike Breen and Richard Jefferson, who recently signed a new contract after calling his first Finals in June. Burke had been part of the Finals team for the past two years and made history as the first woman to serve as an analyst for a major U.S. sports championship broadcast.

MLS clubs spent a record $336 million on transfers in 2025, nearly doubling the previous high of $188 million in 2024, making it the eighth-highest spending league globally. This figure also exceeds the current spending of Mexico’s Liga MX by more than double. The surge includes three record-breaking incoming transfers this year, with LAFC’s $26 million signing of Son Heung-Min topping the list. Earlier in the year, Atlanta United paid $22 million for Emmanuel Latte Lath, and FC Cincinnati spent $16.3 million on Kévin Denkey.

UEFA confirmed on Thursday that the 2026 Champions League final in Budapest will kick off at 6 p.m. local time (12 p.m. ET), instead of the traditional 9 p.m. start. The change aims to improve the fan experience, particularly by easing travel after the match and making the game more accessible to global viewers. It’s unclear whether this earlier kickoff time will apply to future finals. The 2025-26 Champions League season begins on Sept. 16, with the final set for May 30.

The NFL and Roc Nation have unveiled the 2025 Songs of the Season playlist ahead of Week 1, led by Clipse’s “Ace Trumpets.” Other featured tracks include “Courtside” by Flau’jae and Waka Flocka Flame, DJ Snake and J Balvin’s “Noventa,” and “Percy Miller” by HDBEENDOPE. Additional artists include Hardrock, Bootsy Collins, Dorothy, and more. The playlist will be featured during NFL broadcasts, in stadiums, and on social media, supporting the league’s Inspire Change social justice initiative.
