Gayle King and Charles Barkley Team Up for ‘King Charles’
CNN was looking for a reset, so they tapped two legends for the task. The news network announced that Gayle King and Charles Barkley will co-host a new program called King Charles. In an internal memo, CNN boss Chris Licht announced the program, saying, “This show will be an exciting new way we are delivering culturally relevant programming and unique perspectives to our audience, from two incredibly dynamic personalities.” The primetime offering will premiere this fall and run one hour long.
LVMH Surges Past $500B in Market Value
Luxury goods are on the up and up, and LVMH is cashing in. The parent company to such luxury labels as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Moet & Chandon, and more announced that its market value surpassed $500 billion. The boost is the byproduct of a 17% increase in sales in Q1. Company execs pointed to the reopening of the Chinese market as a major driver of improvement.
