Bill Belichick Snub Spurs Hall of Fame Voting Review
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is reviewing its voting panel and process after Bill Belichickโs omission from the 2026 class sparked controversy. President Jim Porter said potential changes include returning to in-person voting, holding the vote closer to the NFL Honors reveal to prevent leaks, and possibly releasing vote totals and individual ballots in the future. He also noted the Hall may replace voters who break rules by publicly discussing off-record debates or failing to vote for the “most deserving” candidates. However, Porter seemed reluctant to reverse a rule grouping coaches and contributors with old-time players, which contributed to Belichick missing out despite his six Super Bowl wins.
