Deadline exclusively revealed that Scott Medusci – better known as Kid Cudi – has joined the cast of Netflix’s highly-anticipated sequel, Happy Gilmore 2. The production for the Adam Sandler-led project has already begun, but details on the plot and Cudi’s role are still under wraps. The “Day ‘n’ Night” artist joins a stacked cast that includes Travis KelceBad BunnyJulie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald, who reprise their iconic roles as Virginia Venit and Shooter McGavin. The film is set to stream on Netflix, but there is no timeline for release at this time.

Apple SVP Greg Joswiak teased a “week” of Mac announcements starting Monday morning on X. Considering he wrote “Mac (😉) your calendars!,” it seems like the tech brand is unveiling the latest generation of computers. Per Engadget, the new line of desktop Macs and MacBooks will operate on M4 chipsets. Outside of new hardware, Mac users can also look forward to software updates to iPhone, iPad, and Mac products, including the first introduction of Apple Intelligence features, which are set to release on Oct. 28.

Twenty-five years since the original shoe dropped, Nike officially announced the return of the Wu-Tang Nike Dunk High with a new campaign featuring the legendary RZA and members of the New York Knicks. Jalen BrunsonJosh Hart, and Mikal Bridges joined the Brooklyn emcee to model the kicks across spots in the Big Apple covered in graffiti and with the skyline in view. A release date for the Wu-Tang Nike Dunks is officially scheduled for Nov. 9 on SNKRS and select retailers.

Meta and Reuters have entered a multi-year partnership, according to Axios. The new deal will allow Meta to use Reuters material for its chatbot responses. “We’re always iterating and working to improve our products, and through Meta’s partnership with Reuters, Meta AI can respond to news-related questions with summaries and links to Reuters content,” Meta spokesperson Jamie Radice told Axios via email. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A federal judge has halted the proposed merger between Tapestry and Capri, worth an estimated $8.5 billion. Tapestry, which owns Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman, had agreed to terms to acquire Capri last year. The deal would result in a luxury super-brand, bringing Capri’s Versace, Jimmy Choo, and Michael Kors under the Tapestry umbrella. The merger was blocked after a brief trial in New York following an FTC challenge filed in April. Tapestry has already expressed its intentions to appeal. As a result of the order, Tapestry’s stock jumped 10%, while Capri’s dropped as much as 50% during Friday trading. If the merger is ultimately terminated, Capri will be required to pay a “break up fee” of $240 million. 

Sony is looking to capitalize on the success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die with the sequel to another Martin Lawrence classic. Per Deadline, a follow-up to the actor’s 1999 flick Blue Streak has been ordered. While still in the early stages of development, the outlet confirmed that Cole Masika has been tapped to write the screenplay, and no other actors have been announced save for Lawrence returning as Miles Logan. Lawrence will also produce the project via his Run Tel Dat production company.

Skechers has reason to celebrate, as its third-quarter profits came in at $2.35 billion, a 15.9% jump. Furthermore, wholesale sales saw an increase of 20.6%, and direct-to-consumer sales grew 9.6%. CEO Robert Greenberg said a catalyst for this record-breaking performance is “offering the right product at the right price and ensuring availability at locations where consumers want to shop.” In addition to launching its first-ever basketball shoe, Skechers also added some famous faces to its athlete roster, such as basketball standouts Rickea JacksonJoel Embiid, and Julius Randle, and Barcelona striker Harry Kane.

As her North American “Sweat Tour” winds down, Charli XCX unveiled a new collab. The British pop star is the new face of Converse, she confirmed via Instagram. In a statement obtained by Hypebeast, Charli XCX said she wears her Converse sneakers so much they have holes in them and called the company “iconic.” She joins a star-studded roster that includes Billie EilishTyler, the Creator, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
