In a unanimous vote on Tuesday, NFL owners officially approved Tom Brady’s limited stake in the Las Vegas Raiders during the league’s fall meetings. Brady’s group now lays claim to 10% in the Raiders, with the seven-time Super Bowl champ personally holding a 5% stake. This decision officially marks the end of his playing days; however, TB12 is commemorating his first year in the booth as a member of the Fox announcing team. The meetings finalized a number of decisions for the league, including designating Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the host of 2028’s Super Bowl LXII

The team also announced Tuesday that former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and actress and producer Elizabeth Banks have also joined BOS Nation as investors. This marks the 15th NWSL franchise, however ESPN says a 16th team will be announced in the coming weeks. The club’s name and its corresponding “Too Many Balls” campaign were met with extreme criticism from the women’s soccer community, which, among other things, overlooked the existing professional women’s sports teams in Boston, including the PWHL’s Boston Fleet, Beantown Rugby Football Club, and Women’s Football Alliance’s Boston Renegades.
