After the Cybercab was unveiled Thursday night, Tesla shares fell as much as 9% during Friday morning trading after the highly anticipated event failed to impress investors. Musk said customers would be able to purchase their own for under $30,000, and the company hopes to begin production on the machines by 2027 at the latest. Investors were left feeling “underwhelmed” with the details of the presentation and questioned whether Tesla could offer a car of that scale for an arguably low price tag.
