Vice President Kamala Harris secured her second US Vogue cover on Friday with a photograph shot by Annie Leibovitz that reads: “The candidate for our times.” In the profile that accompanies October’s digital cover, the Democratic presidential nominee opened up about the first calls she’d made if elected president, how she would address overseas conflicts, and recounted her entrance into politics and her connection to other powerful women in government and media.

MLB postseason ratings are soaring. According to league sources, the MLB Network, Fox, and TNT Sports collectively saw a 41% bump in viewership across the first two days of the Division Series last Saturday and Sunday. An average of 3.64 million tuned on Fox Sports for its first four National League Division Series games, making that average the highest amount through the second day of play in this playoff round since the network’s FS1 channel began showing postseason baseball in 2014. Meanwhile, TNT Sports recorded an average of 2.6 million viewers for its American League Division Series coverage Saturday, a pair of Game 1s that produced a 21% increase compared to the 2023 season.

After the Cybercab was unveiled Thursday night, Tesla shares fell as much as 9% during Friday morning trading after the highly anticipated event failed to impress investors. CEO Elon Musk took over a Hollywood movie set to showcase the new two-seat vehicle that features butterfly doors and no steering wheel. He followed the demonstration by delivering remarks surrounded by dancing robots. Musk said customers would be able to purchase their own for under $30,000, and the company hopes to begin production on the machines by 2027 at the latest. Investors were left feeling “underwhelmed” with the details of the presentation and questioned whether Tesla could offer a car of that scale for an arguably low price tag.

The WNBA confirmed Thursday that beginning in 2025, fans can expect more regular season games and a new playoff format. As the league readies the arrival of the Golden State Valkyries next season and expansion teams in Toronto and Portland in 2026, the regular season will increase from 40 to 44 games. The number of playoff teams will remain the same, with the top eight teams receiving a postseason berth in a three-round format. Most importantly, the W Finals will transition to a best-of-seven series starting next season and will have a 2-2-1-1-1 structure, meaning the higher seed franchise will host Games 1, 2, 5, and 7, and its opponent will host Games 3, 4, and 6. “This will give our fans a championship series format that they are accustomed to seeing in other sports,” Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said.
