ChatGPT has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users, becoming the fastest app ever to hit the milestone just three years after launch, according to Sensor Tower data cited by Reuters. The surge comes as competition in AI intensifies between OpenAI and Anthropic, which recently filed confidentially for an IPO. Sensor Tower also found Claudeโ€™s user growth is currently outpacing ChatGPTโ€™s on a year-over-year basis.

Suno has raised $400 million in a new funding round that values the AI music startup at $5.4 billion, more than doubling its valuation from six months ago. The round was led by Bond Capital, whose portfolio includes OpenAI and Kalshi. Despite ongoing copyright lawsuits from major labels including Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group, Suno says it now has more than 2 million paying subscribers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo stars in Kalshiโ€™s new NBA Finals commercial, a Grease-inspired spot that will premiere during Game 1 on Wednesday night. The 60-second ad features Antetokounmpo alongside brothers Thanasis, Kostas, and Alex, leaning into the Bucks superstarโ€™s Greek roots. Kalshi said it secured the Grease IP from Paramount and produced the campaign in under 30 days. Giannis became Kalshiโ€™s first NBA shareholder earlier this year.

AMC Entertainment reported its strongest May attendance since 2019, drawing 25.5 million moviegoers across AMC and ODEON Cinemas. The final weekend of May drew 4.2 million guests, as momentum continued with Backrooms debuting at $81 million. Six films have topped $75 million openings in the past 10 weeks, underscoring a strong 2026 theatrical recovery and managementโ€™s optimism about a robust upcoming release slate and box office strength.

SpaceX is targeting a massive $75 billion IPO that would value Elon Muskโ€™s space and AI empire at roughly $1.75 trillion, according to Reuters. The offering would include more than 555 million shares priced around $135 each. Some analysts, however, warn that the valuation may be overheated, with Morningstar estimating SpaceX is worth closer to $780 billion amid concerns about the long-term profitability of Muskโ€™s AI venture, xAI.

NFL media partners generated a record $6 billion in ad sales across the league, underscoring continued advertiser demand for live football inventory. A new Guideline report, based on actual agency spend from major U.S. holding companies and independent agencies, found in-game NFL ad revenue for the 2025โ€“26 season rose 6.8% year over year to $5.87 billion. Excluding playoff and Super Bowl LX inventory, revenue reached $4.24 billion, up 6% from the prior regular season.

Netflix has launched a new global homepage hub called โ€œWatch Your Favorite Books,โ€ designed to surface film and TV adaptations of popular books and help users discover new shows based on reading tastes. The curated experience organizes recommendations into reader-driven categories, including character-focused stories, romance, nonfiction, manga, and period pieces. The feature is now rolling out worldwide via the Netflix homepage and search.

Nike is launching its X2 soccer collection, blending federation kits, streetwear, and youth culture through seven global collaborations tied to national teams. The NHL is projecting record revenue of $7.5โ€“$8 billion for the 2025โ€“26 season, up sharply from roughly $6.5 billion a year earlier, per league estimates. Bitcoin extended its selloff Wednesday after Strategy Inc. unnerved markets by selling roughly $2.5 million worth of Bitcoin, a tiny slice of its massive holdings, but enough to deepen bearish sentiment. The worldโ€™s largest cryptocurrency briefly fell below $66,000, wiping out roughly $160 billion in market value this week. Traders on prediction markets are increasingly betting that Bitcoin could drop below $60,000 in 2026 as the odds of a return to all-time highs continue to fade.
