Chanel has named The Bear star Ayo Edebiri as its new brand ambassador ahead of Matthieu Blazy’s debut show on Monday evening at Paris Fashion Week. The fashion house praised her unique style, wit, and boundary-pushing talent as a perfect match for the brand. Edebiri hinted at the partnership by wearing Chanel at recent film premieres in Venice and New York.

On Monday, LeBron James teased that he will make a major announcement on Tuesday at 12 p.m. EST, calling it “The Second Decision.” In the video, he sits on a basketball court wearing the same outfit he wore during his original decision” 15 years ago, fueling rumors about a possible retirement. The post comes amid growing speculation about the 40-year-old NBA legend’s playing future.

OpenAI has entered into a major partnership with AMD to power its next-gen AI infrastructure, providing up to 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPUs. The first 1-gigawatt deployment, using the MI450 series, is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026. As part of the deal, AMD has issued OpenAI a warrant for up to 160 million shares, which will vest based on the achievement of deployment milestones and performance targets.

Alex Cooper, host of the hit podcast Call Her Daddy, has launched an advertising agency under her Unwell umbrella. The Unwell Creative Agency will help brands connect with Gen Z women via content creation, marketing campaigns, live events, and original productions. Cooper’s media resources include Unwell Productions and her Gen Z-focused company, Trending. She also has the drink brand Unwell Hydration, which has a season-long sponsorship with the NWSL. 

Instagram has unveiled Instagram Rings, a new awards program celebrating the creativity of its 3 billion users. Twenty five winners will receive a custom-designed physical ring by Grace Wales Bonner, along with a digital golden ring to be added to their profile. A high-profile panel, including Spike Lee, Marc Jacobs, and Instagram’s Adam Mosseri, helped narrow down the honorees, who represent a wide range of content categories from fashion to sports and entertainment.

Gunna announced his worldwide Wun World Tour in support of his sixth studio album, The Last Wun. The North American leg begins Nov. 17 in Boston and includes his first headlining show at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 22. The rapper will visit major cities like Toronto, Miami, Atlanta, and Los Angeles before wrapping up Dec. 19 in Seattle. It then continues in January with shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa. Tickets go on sale Wednesday with various pre-sales, while general sales begin on Oct. 13.

Paramount, now part of Skydance Corporation, has acquired independent media company The Free Press for a reported $150 million in cash and stock. Bari Weiss, co-founder and CEO of The Free Press, will become editor-in-chief of CBS News, while The Free Press continues to operate independently. Weiss will work alongside CBS News President Tom Cibrowski to streamline editorial strategy across all platforms, including TV, digital, audio, and events.

The weekend box office received a favorable boost thanks to Taylor Swift’s special 90-minute film celebrating her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. Partnering with AMC, the limited three-day showing brought in an estimated $33 million domestically and $13 million internationally, totaling $46 million, making it the largest album debut event in cinema history. The film, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, included a new music video, behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos, and personal commentary from Swift herself.

The Virgil Abloh Archive and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have launched a collab with a goal of empowering youth, starting with a student program at the Virgil Abloh: The Codes exhibition in Paris. The partnership also includes a limited-edition PSG T-shirt, designed by the Archive and inspired by PSG’s 2024-26 away kit and the late creative’s signature style. Featuring PSG’s lynx mascot and the phrase “Away From Home,” the shirt pays tribute to Abloh’s lasting legacy, with proceeds benefiting youth initiatives via PSG’s École Rouge & Bleu and the Virgil Abloh Foundation.

Four Walls Irish American Whiskey, founded by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Rob Mac, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton, has launched its “Come on in!” campaign to combat “friendship recession.” At PledgeToHang.com, fans can commit to socializing and receive rewards such as Uber vouchers, grants for creative hangouts, party bundles, and local drink specials. The initiative also includes events at Wrexham AFC bars in the U.S., as well as a national tailgate partnership with True Fan Travel.
