McLaren Racing Reportedly Valued at Formula 1 Record of $5B
McLaren Racing is setting the pace both on and off the track, with recent reports indicating that the Formula 1 team is valued at $5 billion following McLaren Group Limited’s acquisition of MSP Sports Capital’s equity interest. The mark would top Ferrari’s previous high value of $4.8 billion. Currently boasting a 324-point lead in the team standings, McLaren is on pace to retain the Constructors’ Championship, having won it for the first time in 26 years last season.
Anna Wintour Taps Chloe Malle as Vogue’s New US Editorial Director
After leading the publication since 1988, Anna Wintour has found her successor, appointing Chloe Malle as Vogue‘s new U.S. Editorial Director on Tuesday. The daughter of Oscar-nominated director and screenwriter Louis Malle and actress Candice Bergen, Malle has been with Vogue since 2011 and is co-host of the podcast, The Run-Through with Vogue. Malle will report to Wintour and start in her new role immediately.
Alex Warren Tops Billboard’s Songs of the Summer; Morgan Wallen Nabs Multiple Spots
Now that it’s officially September, Billboard released its Songs of the Summer chart for 2025, with the viral hit “Ordinary” from Alex Warren topping the list. Per Billboard, the song topped the weekly survey for the entire 14 weeks of the season. Morgan Wallen occupied the next three spots with “What I Want”, featuring Tate McRae, “Just in Case”, and “I’m the Problem”, with Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” rounding out the top five.
Lee Corso’s Final ‘College GameDay’ Breaks Program Viewership Record
All eyes were on Lee Corso‘s final College GameDay appearance over the weekend, with ESPN revealing on Tuesday that Saturday’s show averaged 3.5 million viewers, the most-watched GameDay ever. More than 5 million tuned in to the final 15 minutes specifically, when the 90-year-old Corso made his final picks, in which he went a perfect 6-for-6. Corso has been a mainstay on the show alongside Kirk Herbstreit since it hit the road in 1993.
Anthropic Valued at $183B Following Latest Funding Round
In March, Anthropic closed a funding round that valued it at north of $60 billion. Less than half a year later, the AI startup’s valuation now sits at over $183 billion following its latest $13 billion raise. The meteoric rise in value coincides with Anthropic’s announcement of its AI assistant, Claude, in March 2023. Anthropic serves over 300,000 customers, the company claims.
Walmart Eyes Amazon with Peacock Bundle Addition
As it continues to target Amazon and Prime Video, Walmart has added a new offering to its membership bundles as part of an extension with Paramount+. Walmart+ subscribers will now be able to choose between a complimentary subscription to Peacock‘s premium tier or Paramount‘s essential plan. This move could open the door for Walmart to potentially partner with other streaming services in the future.

The Call of Duty video game franchise will make its way to the big screen as part of a new deal between Paramount and Activision. As the most popular game series over the last decade-plus, Call of Duty is the latest franchise to tap into the power of film, with successful adaptations such as The Last of Us, A Minecraft Movie, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie all finding success at the box office and on streamers.

It’s official: The late Michael Jackson has earned his third RIAA Diamond-certified album with his 1979 project, Off the Wall. This was the first update for the album since it was certified 9x Platinum in February 2021. The King of Pop also earned diamond status on his Thriller, which has reached Platinum status 34 times, and Bad albums.
