Valued at $10.32 billion, the five-time Super Bowl champions are not only the most valuable sports franchise in the world but also the first ever to crack the $10 billion plateau. The Cowboys are followed by the Los Angeles Rams ($7.79 billion), New York Giants ($7.65 billion), New England Patriots ($7.31 billion), and San Francisco 49ers ($6.86 billion).
Starbucks Names Chipotle’s Brian Niccol as New CEO
Starbucks announced Brian Niccol as its new CEO on Tuesday. He was most recently an executive with Chipotle, helping the company’s stock rise over 750% since he joined in February 2018. In response to the news, the coffee chain’s stock soared 24.5% in morning trading, resulting in its best day ever. Niccol will replace Laxman Narasimhan, who steps down after just one year with the company. Niccol will assume his new role on Sept. 9, and in the meantime, Starbucks’ Chief Financial Officer Rachel Ruggeri will act as interim chief executive.

On’s net profit from footwear, apparel, and accessories rose by 26.7% to CHF 542.5 million ($627.8 million), 63.0% to 21.9 million ($25.3 million), and 23.6% to 3.3 million ($3.8 million), respectively. On lauded its partnerships with FKA Twigs and Zendaya as catalysts for its recent success.
Google Introduces New AI Features for Android Phones, Unveils Pixel 9 Series

Dominic Sessa to Play Anthony Bourdain in A24 Biopic
The Holdovers star Dominic Sessa has been tapped to play the late Anthony Bourdain in an upcoming biopic. Per The Hollywood Reporter, A24 is working on the picture, which will be called Tony. No other casting additions have been announced, but Matt Johnson will assume directorial duties, while Todd Bartels and Lou Howe are tasked with developing the script. Before passing at 61, Bourdain built his reputation traveling the world as a chef, author, documentarian, and more.
Paramount Television Studios Closing Amid Restructuring
Paramount Television Studios is shuttering its doors for good. According to Variety, Paramount Television Studios President Nicole Clemens broke the news in a memo to staffers, calling this era of entertainment a “challenging and transformative time for the entire industry.” This is the latest cost-cutting move as Paramount Global has begun decreasing its global workforce by 15% in an effort to find $500 million in annual cost savings. The studio will cease operations by the end of the week, Clemens said.
Nike’s First-ever Museum Exhibition to Showcase Creative Journey
The first-ever exhibit celebrating Nike’s decades-long history of innovation is opening at the Vitra Design Museum in Germany. Curated by Glenn Adamson, the display will focus on The Swoosh’s design history, touching on everything from its start in the 1960s to the iconic logo and timeless products like Air Max and Flyknit. The Nike: Form Follows Motion exhibit runs from Sept. 21 of this year through May 4, 2025.
